That was great! I reassembled my 09G with this video. My only beef was there was nothing about the lock pin in the manual rod, and the cover that you have to tear off to get to it!

Was the pump gasket that came in your kit less then .030 in? The one in the listing is metal but when I got mine in it was a paper gasket… and I see the one you have is metal.

Excellent video, very detailed. The oil pan has sort of a plastic stick that goes in the drain plug hole, which allows to fill up and measure the fluid level correctly. My car doesn't have it. Do you know where I can buy it?

Some of the early ones were 2 piece all later pans have the metal tube made in. Here is a link to the good late model pan it will fit early models too. amzn.to/2tUEiT3

*Question* : Hey Vic...do you have to Drop the Valve Body in order to change the Solenoids on this 09G? (my mechanic seems to think he can change them without dropping the VB??)?--- Thanks~~!

Yes you do have to remove the valve body. I would think twice about trusting my car to someone who doesn't already know that and wasn't willing look for the answer like you did. Kudos to you for doing the research.

l am about to buy a VW Polo with this transmission for dirt cheap. Only problem is, 1st gear pulls to 5000rpm (yet moving slowly even at high rpm) before moving onto 2nd gear then it starts functioning correctly from 2nd gear. What could be the issue here?

Thanks for the video. Question I have. I separated an engine from tranny (GA6F21WA which is a Aisin TF60-SN I believe) on a 2010 mini cooper, now tranny tc seal is leaking, even with a new seal (twice). Could it be due to a worn bushing, neck of tc is no longer concentric (after reinstallation) to the bushing and seal, making the seal leak especially at high engine rpm? If so, I need to replace the bushing. Any easy way without taking the whole tranny apart? Tranny is otherwise working fine.

Yes your right its probably the bushing. Unfortunately you do have to pull out the transmission and the pump to replace it. You can see me replacing a ford pump bushing in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y53EiKB3fb5rg9U It will give you a good idea of what your up against.
