This was a hugely successful Dyno session. When i bought this car it was down on compression, not wired correctly and had a slipping clutch. With a 4 hour drive each way anything that went wrong would end my day. Fortunately all the work that I did and Jason helped with worked perfectly and we had an absolutely Flawless Dyno.
Admittedly i was hoping to crack 300 wheel with this car but those are just number. This is still a blast to drive and it's only a few "add to carts" away from exceeding those numbers. I just need to save my pennies 😭

really great to see the 1jz running smooth im currently wiring in a fueltech ft550 on a 1jz vvti swapped toyota cressida.. is it possible to get a base map for the stock 1jz setup my next upgrade would be the 8hp transmission

What did you use for k-member trans and mounts? I'm also in Ontario. And thinking about going 1jz in my 79 fox restoration. Just finshed my restro mod brakes rear end suspension etc. I have a warmed over 306 but want to do somthing different over the summer. I previously built a 500whp 89 supra 7mgte back in the mid 2000s. And would love to go 1jz as a possibility.

Factory k member was modded to accept the JZ, just solid mounted. Trans has a custom mount for the Z32 Nissan trans but it utilizes factory mounts

What’s the cheapest way to get one of these and make this setup? I wanna do this to an 1982 foxbody with an i6 200.

1J and 2J’s are pretty pricy these days. Your gonna be into it for about 5K on the motor alone plus ECU, Trans adaptor, custom shaft and fab work. You might be best to look at a 1JZ GE (non turbo), they are cheap and you can boost them once you get to that point

If it’s stock she’s probably making around the same. Those stock turbos are the major limiter and I have buddies who have done an external gate mod and it has brought power up to about 300 wheel.

@SteveDoesStuff89 yeah im not stock, i have a gtx3582r turbo at 15 psi controlled by a plug and play MS ecu.. i tunned it myself but its not how i want it. Awesome car by the way, not a ford fan, but i love those particular mustangs.
