1K Subs and Mid Engine RWD Metro Project - MR_Metro!

The channel has hit over 1000 subscribers! To celebrate I'm starting a new project - The MR Metro! Mid Engine RWD cars are awesome - so why not build one out of a 90's box!
I've also got my KZbin schedule in order and will film every Friday, for release by Sunday.
I'm a little out of practice, so forgive the quality!

Just found this channel. I had a 1.1c metro as a first car back in England. My channel has just hit 1000 subscribers too, so seeing another small youtuber getting stuck in is very motivating. I'll be watching this build series all the way through, and already subscribed. Reminds me of the project binky mini gt4. Good luck and well done.

I love the idea of "why use a metro?" is a mix of "why not?" and "Because I can!" Arriving late to this party/build but really enjoying it. Excuse the wealth of comments that may appear as I watch through this!

I had a Metro City, stuffed it into the back of a Ford Cougar, did £60 worth of damage.......... to the Cougar and wrote off Metro! Ps if you wait long enough the Metro floors will rot out by themselves.

Yes! finish the Midget project! I am working on one. But, This is also good. One problem. Why a mid rear in a hatch back? I hope you have a plan to rearrange the doors on the side like a panel van otherwise you are loosing utility. That is part of the reason you drive a hatch back.

Could something like this work for a Citroen Saxo? 😅 I know it seems stupid,but I got an offer on an okay running shitbox saxo for dirt cheap @ $250 with repairs done to the clutch,brakes,and transmission. Now look,I reeeeally wanna get another engine (most probably a honda v6 or a toyota one,a subbie boxer,or hell,even a smallblock v8).And yes,I want to make it a mid engine,rwd shitbox.For the track only. Do you have any recommendations for the engine choosing and the things I could do to reduce every bit of weight I can,or even some other tunes to...yknow..actually make it work? Thanks a lot,man,Ive been looking for videos like this,and yours are JUST SPOT ON. Cheers!

My vote is for a Honda K20...or an ST220 Duratec V6.

Vision Auto Garage - I never think of those but yes would be a fairly cheap & easy route to a decent chunk of power + torque for sensible £. Depends if you want NA or forced induction. I have a Libra with a K20 which is an impressive motor but is lacking a little in the torque stakes. Interesting build tho - you seem to be making good progress. Is the intentiin to go for a 6R4 look or something a little more discrete with JDM style screw on spats or maybe stretched stock style arches? quattro style arches would be cool.
