Hey guys I grew up ice fishing in the Northeast. A big tip when you get done with your auger make sure you put your blade guard back on because the blades are really sharp and I'm telling you right now you can run into that with your boot and it'll cut right through your boot and into your foot or your friends foot, or I've seen it cut open one of my friends dogs because somebody didn't put the guard on. Just a quick tip take it how you like it good luck fishing.

@kevingillig80297 жыл бұрын
Sweet you got some tip-ups. Get some lights for them as well. That way you can use them at night for some big fish. Also get a deeper sled to hold your stuff. Buy a pair of bata boots. They are great in extreme low temps. Look into purchasing a marcum or hummingbird flasher. Much better visibility and less of a signal delay. Enjoy the videos keep them coming. Would love to see you dig into some walleye this season. Best fighting and eating

Cooking and Fishing I really recommend it! I thought about it for years before I finally tried it out. My very first time ice fishing, we we're catching Pike no smaller than six pounds, and there was never a time that we weren't chasing down tip ups or taking fish off the hook. I didn't get time enough to rest but we still got to have a few beers. Life is good on the ice, unless it's -30.

For future reference on the tip ups, instead of wrapping it around your hand and risking loops and tangles, when you pull it hand over hand, just pull the line off to the side. Easier to let fish take line. Nice vid my dude!

The square hole is cut for a bait trap. Big bait trappers don't use the tiny plastic traps, they make there own which are usually large. Good video man glad to see you using some tip ups and taking advantage of be able to fish a couple spots at once.
@LAHaxs7 жыл бұрын
Also try some suckers or shiners if you wanna target those large bass
@1Rod1ReelFishing7 жыл бұрын
Ahhh is that what that’s for? That makes more sense, and thanks for the bait advice, the fathead minnows are super cheap, shiners tend to be pretty fragile and expensive but maybe I’ll try trapping some chubs
@LAHaxs7 жыл бұрын
I trap bait myself in maine you can have traps marked with your name and address and you can trap as much bait as you want just can't sell it unless you have a wholesale lisence. Would make a good video if you set a couple traps for your self.

Here some tips 1rod 1. Get shiners if ur going fishing ghere again or somewhere else because the fish are feeding right nkw because of how cold it is 2. If ur fishing in cold weather u should buy a mr.buddy heater bcause it really keeps u warm 3. Set ur tip uos in transitional bottom like a transition from rock to sand or sand to weeds or rock to weeds because those fish will hang in the weeds or the rocks or sand and wait for the fish to come out of the transitions and the pike or any preadator fish Hopefully that gave u an idea for the next vid and hope u can put it in the top comment for next vid 😊
