You don’t need to set the hook when using a circle hook. Just reel in quickly to make sure it’s hooked good because you can actually lose the fish trying to set the hook so hard.

Quick tip with a Circle hook if you set your drag very loose when the fishing starts running Tightened the drag and as you tighten the drag the fish will set the hook on its self also try a bait runner it’s great for catfishing

Daryle Chankheo reggie was probably missing hooksets because you dont set the hook on a circle hook when using a circle hook you want the rod straight up in the air and your drag tightened down all the way and when a fish pulls the rod tip down and holds it down for a few seconds you just reel down on the fish

Love it @22:36 when he invites him over to eat the fish. 1Rod1ReelFishing probably missed out on a fish party. :-) I've fished 4mi, the outlet at Roaches Run, the Tidal Basin, and generally all around. I was amazed at the number of fish I caught with people just walking by puzzled to think there were actually fish in the Potomac. The tidal Potomac is a great large mouth bass fishery. Pulled in a solid 5-6lb LMB on an 8wt. and 1/0 clouser. Miss Shirlington Village. Thanks for the great video. Cheers.
