I agree bass fishing with crawfish can be a blast...but before everyone goes out and buys a bag of Louisianan mud bugs for bait check the local regulations. In many places outside of their native range Red Swamp Crayfish are an invasive species and are pushing out native crayfish. Fish responsibly.

This vid reminds me of what sparked my initial interest in fishing and got me to where i am today. About 5 or 6 yrs ago i was at an ex gfs cottage up here in Ontario canada with zero exp fishing. After a few beers in the backyard her dad said something about big bass that hangout at the end of the dock. Something took over me and i HAD to find out.. I found one of her grandpas old spinning rod/reels in the basement that probably had 20yr+ 8lb mono on it lol i waded into the water and caught a crayfish, put the tail through a small hook and just freelined it off the dock. Immediately i had a bite and lipped my first largemouth which was approx 3.5lb as i still have the photo. I caught a 2nd crayfish and repeated, another 3 or 4lber caught and then threw out a 3rd crayfish and BOOM, the 3rd bite felt completely different. Her brother who had exp fishing began yelling THATS HUGE, THAT BASS IS HUGE immediately. I got it dockside and as he almost had it lipped the line broke. Looking back it was probably the biggest largemouth ive seen to date. We got home from the cottage, i went out and bought my first rod/reel and it all started.. :-D
