I am glad you guys can keep up with this narrator and book. Sounds like he changes subject matter every other sentence. To me this is really hard to follow.

It's easy to follow: Just spout pretentious, ritualized nonsense while in truth believeing in shallowness, materialism, and name-dropping. That's pretty much the Masonic program in a nutshell.

Pikes magnum opus is an all together different book but I do enjoy Morals and dogma. I found it to be incredibly bland and much prefer it to be read to me. The magnum opus is a very good read if you're into tarot correspondences an kabbalah. Worth looking into.

I was very keen in producing this audio for the Magnum Opus version when I realised, There was a similar version in morals and dogma And I decided to go with that version. I think it would be great to create the whole book in audio with various voices

It says it is correct book at beginning of audiobook. Are you saying some sort confusion is in play?
@Kalev72 Жыл бұрын
@@extended_e The cover shows a completely different book than what is being read. The cover page or book imagery is that of Magnum Opus, but the audio content is of another Book (Morals and Dogma) entirely by the same author…well entirely except for what Pike plagiarized for failed to provide a citation for.

So there is confusion… Morals and Dogma was Pike’s Magnum Opus in one respect… but there is another book published by the Scottish Rite Research Society that is the book cover on the videos. The content of this book entitled Pike’s Magnum Opus is completely different in content than the audio book here. It is more a compilation and work by Pike trying to gather early ritual of the Rite of Perfection which is a 25 degree system and turn it into a 33 degree system which evolved to the Scottish Rite as we have it today. My suggestion would be that poster should edit and re-upload the videos to show the correct book cover which will be found under a search of Morals and Dogma with a Maroon Cover and eagle that says Scottish Rite. Then you should title the videos Morals and Dogma with the corresponding degree instead of Magnum Opus. The actual Magnum Opus can be found online for purchase perhaps through the bookstore of the Southern Jurisdiction. Both books should be understood differently. One (Magnum Opus) is a compilation of actual ritual Pike was working with. It is a work filled with the ritual meant to compel thought and reflection for your personal life and shared within a group. The audio you uploaded is (Morals and Dogma) the personal interpretation or exegesis by Pike on those degrees. It is his thought and reflection on the system. This is an individual perspective and reflection of one Man and Mason and although greatly revered is not to be misconstrued as scripture or gospel or to indoctrinate. It is import to discern the two. It is however a good model or template that shows not only deep thought, but more importantly a process one can use to write on the degrees they witness and what they mean to them as a person. So in essence, if you were working the Scottish Rite correctly you would see the degrees/ritual or have them communicated to you, participate in and develop your own interpretation based upon the ritual and in turn interpreting the allegory to write your own personal interpretation. In essence the discipline known as hermeneutics and exegesis is what speculative Masonic work is within a plurality of frameworks, cultures, timeframes and much diversity. The Scottish Rite is one of many Masonic rites with its own trajectory/history, specificity and story and style….it evolves, it is fluid and grows… We are always learning something new…and we all have our own personal Magnum Opus to write…It is not compulsory for people to write about the degrees you witness in America, but encouraged. Pikes audio book Morals and Dogma is one of many individual tomes or great works that each Scottish Rite member within a lifetime of practice could create when reflecting on the degrees. We always write our own books, some just do it literally. Therefore, the degrees and their allegory and metaphor and theater that is intended to provide food for thought like any other moral play or story in the world of action.

Hello everyone. Greetings from a true Freemason. I'm glad I came across this and watched it so I can tell all of you that this IS NOT anything in Freemasonry. And IS NOT a part of the Entered Apprentice Degree, or any part of any Degree! This videos narration reminds me of Morals and Dogma. So do not think this is what we are.

I have always felt Pike to have been an Occult leader like madame Blavatsky. This dogma sounds like cultic mind manipulation. not scientific truth but false wisdom that glorifies magic over reason in your thoughts and warps the cogito of the cartesian philosopher.

Oops 🤷♂️ riddle me this please? What you know can never be the beyond. Whatever you experience is not the beyond. If there is any beyond, this movement of 'you' is absent. The absence of this movement probably is the beyond, but the beyond can never be experienced by you; it is when the 'you' is not there. Why are you trying to experience a thing that cannot be experienced?

I have to accept the reality of present-day capitalist society however exploitative or inhumane it may seem to be. Not because it is the best system that can ever be, or because its exploitation and inhumanity are unreal, but for pure and simple reasons of survival. The acceptance has only a functional value. Nothing more and nothing less. If I do not accept social reality as it is imposed on me, I will end up in the loony-bin singing merry melodies and loony tunes.

This is so deceptive. They believe in a god, but do not acknowledge the devil. They site scripture from the Bible but do not believe in Jesus as our Savior. I implore you, do not waste your time here as I have. Instead, read your Bible. Get on your knees and pray for forgiveness for your sins. Ask Jesus to come into your life and show you the real truth. God bless.
