Thank you for measuring the actual 0-62 time instead of just quoting the official numbers like most others. The hard ride quality is the cost one pay for the great handling I suppose. The good thing is that you get used to it. I’ve had the previous generation F85 X5 M for 3 years now and just extended the warranty for another 2 years. If you need the luggage space, backrow space and high riding driver position is it a great car.

I've got a f15 x5, 2015, and I absolutely love it. I'd say I'm completely happy with it and really don't want another vehicle to be honest. It's very comfortable, has enough storage room and will run its ass off. Obviously I've been challenged on the road a time or 2, and haven't loss yet. Jaguars, Mustangs, corvette, audis, even a Porsche and beat them quite comfortably. Not to say that happens all the time, I'm actually happy with it just strolling down the road to the grocery store. Sure BMW will depreciate quickly, but for me it's worth the money if you're satisfied with your car ultimately, and I'd have to say that I am. It's a 2015 and besides a couple of small chips on the very front hood it looks immaculate and gets a ton of compliments. I try to keep it looking brand new and I'm hoping it'll last for me for a while to go. Sure I've seen all these other Bmws like the x6 or x3 etc but this one just seems the perfect fit. It's a medium suv that's fast as hell and rides smooth as hell too. Get one, you wont be disappointed

Driving an M5 f90 competition as a daily .. for the last two years ... But a third kiddo is just about to come to life .. and now I'm looking to go bigger .. used to have the x5M 17 plate .. nice but couldn't feel the M side of it .. f90 is just savage .. I as a matter of fact drive a X6 5.0i as I type this message as my f90 is with the dealer and I'm quite impressed .. really comfy in comfort .. not sure how x5M compares to a X5 5.0i .. that might be the car you would look for to review next ?

I have the G05 X5 M50d, not as quick and lacks that V8 soundtrack but it shares that great interior and is plenty fast enough for an SUV. The huge advantage is fuel economy - I bought the car in Sydney and on the drive home to Melbourne, it averaged 6.7 L/100km (42 mpg). In every day driving and commuting it consistently does 8s (33 - 35 mpg). For the weight and performance it’s astonishing. And 760Nm towing is epic. I get it’s not the same but to me is a great compromise. I could not live with 15 mpg (18.8 L/100km)

I love my M4C and most M cars in general, but I really like what Gordon Murray is doing with the T50. NA V12 and super lightweight. I'm sure it'll be an incredible hypercar and a joy to drive. My point being I wish there was a niche in the 75k-100k range NA car BMW would build for the enthusiast. I understand this is an impossible ask and will never happen, but it makes me miss my E92 M3 from time to time(excluding the warranty ending)and wringing an NA engine out, rowing through the gears for pure driving pleasure. Ok, i'm done bitching...nice review per usual Joe, I enjoy you covering a myriad of M vehicles here on your channel.

I've always admired the BMW M cars and in 2019 I bought an m5 to replace my 2010 Porsche panamera and I wasn't disappointed one bit. Also last year I bought an old X5 e53 3.0d to do tip runs and keep the mileage down on the my M5 during winter. I'm amazed at how the old nail still drives with 160,000 miles on it and for an old 2005 diesel is pretty nippy. I only paid £2000 for it and I have to say I'm besotted with it. The driving position is ace and the interior is a lovely place to sit, I'm certainly glad I didn't get a range rover as planned. I think I'm going to test drive one of these next month with a view to trade in the m5.

Had a chance to test X3M and X4M at BMW M Academy last week. It was quite Nimble for it's weight. It's true, the X ride was less refined. But you could toss it around. The braking was strong, and had quite a bit of push from a start. I posted a couple of brief notes about the event.

Ich konnte mit ihnen beschleunigen, bremsen und den Autocross fahren. Der Innenraum ist dem BMW Auto sehr ähnlich. Das Steuerungssystem ist sehr effizient. Der X4M bietet auch eine Fensteranzeige für Geschwindigkeit und Drehzahl. Die Beschleunigung war sehr stark und robust. Es drückt Sie zurück in Ihren bequemen M-Sitz. Der X4M könnte Kurven fahren, aber wenn DSC eingeschaltet ist und er schwerer als M2 ist, neigt er dazu, mit etwas Untersteuern hart in Kurven einzutauchen. Für eine Familie und ein bisschen Spaß auf der Straße ist dieses Fahrzeug ein bedeutendes Upgrade gegenüber vielen anderen Frequenzweichen seiner Klasse. Aber es ist nicht so gut für die Strecke wie M2,3 oder 4.
