Fab M2C. Brave manual choice with all that power! I've got myself out of trouble so many times paddle-shifting my 2018 LCI down through the 'box in the wet! Looking forward to more VLOGS on this car.

The auto rev match can’t be coded out with simple coding like you would Active Sound, disclaimer delete, etc. The ECU will need to be flashed and doing that will certainly void your warranty if you ever had a major engine issue. Just a heads up.

Just ordered mine. Same spec and color scheme, except had to go with the DCT over the manual for family practicality. I hope to have it in mid-September. Luckily, there was an exact match already on a ship heading over to the US. Can't wait. BTW, love the channel. Discovered it during my M2C research.

I have used royal steering wheels twice,and both times they were excellent. First time,they sourced a wheel,redid it to my spec and posted it(so I was not without a wheel) and once I fitted it I posted my old one back. Send time I was patient and sent my original wheel and it was sent back having been re trimmed in 5 days. Quality work at sensible prices.

Love your work Joe, love your Comp and am jealous of your steering wheel. However, I challenge any of your followers to better this: I collected my 2017 M2 LCI on 27th November and have just arrived home after driving 6758.4km’s. What an amazing car and what an unbelievable drive across Australia and averaged 8.6Ltrs per 100kms in Sport Mode. Now to prep this wonderful beast for some track work at BARBAGALLO.

Congrats Joe. I'll be taking delivery of mine in about a week. A black one with the 6MT. I hope BMW understands how much you do for them. I'm a current Audi S3 owner. I've owned nothing but Audis for the last 10 years, and have never owned a BMW. There's no doubt in my mind I would have gone with the RS3 this time had I not found your videos. (and I told my dealer that btw) Hopefully you get something in return for your genuine salesmanship.

Nice 1st review of the M2C. One of the few KZbin channels i like to keep updated on. Still undecided if i should get the M2C or the M4-CP. Even the idea of a manual and DCT option is another debate to get. Jack (Royal Steering Wheel) work is amazing. Replaced mine for my E46 M3.

Another excellent update on your M2C, Joe. Mine is due in in 2019, with HS colour and most of the extras, inc DCT. I see that ride quality looks comfortable - given this, do you think adaptive suspension for the M2C on UK roads is not that necessary? My previous E92 frozen silver M3 (brilliant car!) had adaptive suspension and the difference between the settings was (in my opinion) not that noticeable for to my style of road driving. I look forward to your next video and then my M2C for real!!!

Yeah, more colours would've been wicked but Hock Silver does look sick especially with the black wheels. For me though, would've preferred a deeper dish on the wheels.

Hello! Some questions! The sound is the same in Sport and Sport Plus? For driving, Sport or Sport Plus? I’ve tried an M4C in Sport Plus and S3 for the gearbox. It unsettles the car a lot. Much better in Sport and S2 for the gearbox. Much more balanced. The same applies to the M2C? Yours is manual, but the other one you drove was a DCT. Thank you! Keep the good work!

Good question! I also drive M3/4 Comp packs in Sport throttle and medium gearbox, sport plus and fastest gearbox causes all sorts of traction issues and unsettles the car mid corner especially. Thankfully the M2 C shares the M3/M4 software, everything is far more gentle, but I still prefer sport throttle, I ran med gearbox I'm the DCT press car recently too. Cheers

Hey Joe, great car and always genuine, honest reviews. Helped me purchase my M140i. Does the sticker that goes on the back of the phone for the megamount (being made of metal) prevent charging the phone on a wireless charging pad?

I’m coming from good old Miata and STI manual cars, about to order an M2C, only to find out BMW’s “manual” has auto rev match, anti-stall (1st gear), hill assist, etc... which to me sounds almost like an automatic where you just clutch in to select gear rather than using the paddles. Does it change the old school driving experience?

I didn’t want to lose the heating function. Does this setup allow heating still? I’m in California. Wonder if they can ship a wheel out. Seems only the M Perf option is avail here. I don’t mind the looks of the factory option but I just want to keep the heat function.
