The origin of the universe is a beautiful thing, but still so mysterious. That's what science is here for, though; to answer these questions. I'm quite interested in the origins of the universe and quantum mechanics. They really are magnificent. More so are the people who contributed to the fields. It's a shame creationists will never experience the majesty of theoretical sciences, though. I guess it's answer first, and ask the questions later for them.

The misinterpreted bit about the Sun's formation that he took to describe the big bang was taken 100% from his dad's presentation and despite it having been corrected a million time by debunkers over the last 30 years, neither one bothered to get rid of the embarassing bit and use something more correct.

During the singularity, everything was warped in an infinite regression. The warping of space was so severe that time itself was dilated to infinity- so in reality, the singularity existed in a timeless, eternal void. Time didn't exist until the expansion. It's a difficult concept to wrap one's head around, but since there was no time before time, whatever existed before time (like energy) has always existed.

It does an excellent job of demonstrating the observational evidence for "weighing" the universe and how there simply isn't enough baryonic matter to account for the curvature we see. Plus, reading the whole book will allow you to smack down creatards who proclaim anything about cosmology. :-) Double plus, you should be able to find it at any college library as it is a very commonly used textbook.

Ok just thowing this out there but is it possible that the gravaton imbalance and quantum tunneling happned at almost the same time and cuase the singularity?
@KingCrocoduck12 жыл бұрын
The singularity is the popular concept in the physics department, with only one piece of the puzzle missing: the quantum workings of gravity. If the graviton is real, the eternal singularity theory could potentially be vindicated- to fully understand the singularity, we need to know how all of the fundamental forces interact at a quantum level.
@KingCrocoduck12 жыл бұрын
Time is part of the fabric of space, so increased density would dilate, or slow, it. The idea that quantum effects (especially concerning the graviton) could have spontaneously is part of the eternal singularity/expansion theory, in which the model of the universe is that it was born from quantum fluctuations in the singularity and will continue to expand forever. Personally, I'm on board with Michio Kaku and the oscillating universe theory, but hey- until the data comes, to each his own.

Even if his question made sense, "How did the universe make itself?". To be consistent he would need to ask the same question of his god. "Hey god, how did you come from nothing; because nothing can't come from nothing right? Come on god, it doesn't make sense how you can make yourself from nothing; tell us how you did it?" Take whatever his would be answer could be and apply it to the universe without a god.

Hi King Crocoduck (or any other qualified physics student or physicist) I have a genuine question I've never known the answer to. I tried comming up with proof positive of this by finding some times when the word universum was written but couldn't find any, does anybody know where I can find a citation of the word universum? You're a bit behind the times, friend. First, nothing outside of math can be "proven" so I don't support the position that the singularity has been proven. And second, the expansion of the universe necessitates a singularity in which the four forces, space, and time are united in an 11 dimensional coil. I could go into how string theory, membranes, and Higgs would vindicate aspects of the singularity, but seeing as I'm only limited to 500 characters, just take this working physics major's word.
