This shows you beating on the Impacts until the battery safe mode kicks in! I'm a mechanic and use the 2562-20 at work and home and at work I've used it throughout my 9 hr work day and it performed just fine and for most of us we are not hammering on a bolt or nut until the impact fails, we get a bigger impact or a breaker bar and break it loose!

Your video showing the gen2 having issues prompted me to immediately return my recently (& unused) gen2. I got the mid torque (1/2")instead to compliment my m18 compact & new high torque 1/2". Thank you for sharing what you found. It saved me from some disappointment. 🙂👍

How do you like the 2967 ? I bought one and returned it, not for performance reasons as it drove lags faster than anything ive used and even in reverse it was more powerful than almost anything else but the def961 and the new flex fx1472 which imo felt like a much more well built tool and seemed to remove rusted fasteners we deal with in northern Indiana a bit better than the 2967 imo but man tbh I hated the 2967’s loud high pitched noise but ergonomically it feels awfully tall and too heavy like an extended magazine version of the 2767 which I thought felt great in hand and the gen 2 flex HTIW I feel is a lot closer to the in hand feel of the 2767 than the 2967.

Hi well it might be a great impact you never know everyone on here said mine could be defective hehe

@singlecams I do think it is a great impact. Just not for repeatedly working hard. If It's gotta work hard, it's like a top fuel dragster. Can't run it hard for the duration of a Nascar race. Same for the gen 2 stubby. It's meant for short blasts of work & thats it. Running it too long doing hard work & it's a problem.

@Jeff-rk8hq I like the 2967. It has plenty of power for what I encounter. I know the Dewalt is solid & puts out more power, however, it's a case of "he who sells the first battery, wins." I like the ergonomics but I think ALL of the high torque are big & clumsy. Like, there's no such thing as a "light" snowmobile. There's just heavy & heavier. 😁

Do you follow Dean Dohertys channel? I highly recommend it. He does nothing but repair tools for a living and he's brought up alot of insightful posts regarding Milwaukee tools. I've learned alot from him.

FX1472z > m18 2967-20 may be an Unpopular opinion and if you disagree & have 1st hand experience plz state your opinions. I’ll start by saying I loved the 2767 & had really high hopes for the 2967 and was a bit disappointed with the ergonomics. Its high center of gravity make it top heavy which most HTIW already are not only that but imo the tall extendo handle, high pitched noise from the 2967 and overall has a terrible in hand feel wit the extra 3/4 -1” of extra handle they tacked on so they could relocate some of the electronics into the handle, which imo threw the ergonomics way off compared to the 2767 but the ergonomics and noise were enough for me to return it. Not only that the flex has a lifetime warranty, seemed to be a more robustly built tool as well as being equally as powerful in reverse as the 2967 according to TTC’s testing and IRL I felt the 1472z removed rusted fasteners that I frequently encounter a bit better than the 2967 for some reason. Tthat’s just my two Pennies so take it for what it’s worth.
