After the mustangs from the 60's the next best looking mustangs are the S197. Ford stopped making muscle cars after 2014 and started making sports cars.

I guess these s650’s are good for some but I just can’t get into it. Usually part of the transition includes improved performance, the 17 GT to the 18 GT cosmetically wasn’t an instant improvement for everyone but they were still preferable because of the new 10r80 and gen3 coyote. S650s just give you different lights, Tesla screens and a locked ECU. I’m definitely not feeling it.

The locked ecu is what kills it for me. I don't care as much about stock hp levels or the styling I don't like the tablet glued to the dash look and I don't think it is diff enough styling wize from an s550 for an "all new" mustang. Ford just keeps giving us less and charging us more and people still eat it up just because it's the "new" mustang this is why Ford and other companies do shit like this.

Are these the Stangs that the ECUs are locked so you can't do a tune unless you buy a tune from Ford and after they put in the tune the new tune is locked so you can't tweek it to your engine add-ons.

That is stupid lol. There was a time gts didn't have quads and it aint been that long ago. Quad tips are an unnecessary ricer thing imo. It does nothing for performance or sound and just adds weight for no reason. It's unnecessary the quad trip trend needs to die. It doesn't have 4 exhaust pipes it don't need 4 exhaust tips.

the S197 RTR is actually the first RTR ever and was a concept for Ford to take serious. It was sold off and the owner gave it back to Vaughn this year as a gift.

Bro it's so beautiful. I'm a huge mustang fan and I've struggled to like the new one outside of the Dark Horse but now we the RTR, just wow man! She's just jaw dropping beautiful. I stated out in a fox as a kid so this mustang really interest me. Glad we are getting some nice body kits and mods.

@@tyarnold4088 I’ve own a 2016 GT & I now currently have a 2023 GT. I’ve not seen a 2024 that looks appealing to me. The side profile & the rear looks great. The fish mouth grill is way out of proportion. I hope something comes along better or I’m keeping my 2023.

It looks good other than the tablets stuck to the dash too bad the ecu is locked down with over air updates and they can see if it's been tampered with and flag it. That kills it for me. The potential is extremely limited far as modding to go faster.

It has dual exhaust. It doesn't need quad tips that trend is so stupid it has 2 exhaust pipes 2 tips are just fine. Quads don't add sound or performance just weight and are unnecessary.

Here's my issue.....it looks great, but I want POWER!.....and RTR doesn't do that correct? Because you guys didn't pop open the hood and show the motor......and Whipple is so far the only one I've heard that is working with Ford....and what a load of crap that we as the buyer can't put turbos and tune it ourselves.......I'll keep my 2006 Mustang gt convertible with a procharger and my 2016 GT premium 6 speed manual 5.0.
