Lock down the side that’s forward down so it doesn’t move the.then Pull forward the side that’s back forward for a diamond . Also a diamond won’t move if you have it locked down in clamps on both sides. It needs to be able to move

That’s exactly how I used to do it but found it put side sway in the front. No amount of extra anchoring could avoid it. Once I started using binder to correct diamond the problem was solved. Thanks for watching

Where in the frame is the strongest to load a rig welding machine?

I can’t say with absolute certainty but in my opinion it would be just forward of the rear axle. Gooseneck trailers mount here and some can weigh over 3000 lbs on the ball mount. Truck manufacturers may be able to give a specific area with regards to weight. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

to do this pull ,only anchor the center section as in anchoring the center section on a unibody,then make first pull on the rear?

Correct. On a full frame vehicle with front end damage it’s more than likely the rest is swayed. Square up the rear to get an accurate measurement on the front. Thanks for watching

Hey great video I am a bit confused still, when you pull on the rear do you do the opposite side of Frame that was impacted or same side?
@autobodytrainingsolutions838
@autobodytrainingsolutions838 Жыл бұрын
Your 1st pull on the rear should be on the same side as the impact. That will square up the mid section and the rear. Just check all your measurements before and during your pulls. Thanks for watching

@@autobodytrainingsolutions838 also I’m not using any software just plumb bobs and measuring cross sections any advice too get good results?

@@senorflash21 That will be very time consuming. Every pull you make will move the vehicle slightly so your marks on the floor will have to be rechecked. You’ll need lots of patience. Good luck

@@senorflash21 Not exactly. When the front was hit it tweaked the entire frame. By pulling the back you’re aligning the rear and middle. This needs to be squared 1st to get an accurate measurement on the front. It’s confusing and it took me some time to figure this out but it does work. Honestly most techs won’t do this. They just pull the front and call it good but then they’ll have issues with the sheet metal fitting correctly. Hope this helps

When pulling from the rear you said to pull opposite side but you show in picture pulling same side, I’m confused ?

Yeah it was confusing the way I explained that. My diagram was correct in that pulling procedure. When you’re pulling on the rear to correct damage on the front you almost half to think things through in reverse so it does become confusing. I’m glad you brought that up . Sometimes knowing how and explaining how doesn’t always translate correctly. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching
