Are speaking about the ratcheting binders at Auto body toolmart. And place one hook to edge of the frame machine and the other of course to the chains at 45°

Good morning, excellent information for this repair. Instead of these ratcheting load binders, I use military air transport binders. They are spring loaded and very light to handle. You can find them at surplus stores near air force bases. They sure save my worn out knee's and back. Hope this helps. Thanks and take care. Good luck.

Thank you for detailed info! I’m trying to figure out if my 63 C-10 Frame is bent or just diamond past the differential to the rear bumper. It is diamond, best I can tell in the rear about 3/4”. I’m trying to determine if the frame behind the differential is bent as well. I’m thinking I’ll find the center line and measure from that line to determine if the frame is bent to one side?

If I’m using floor pots to tie down the frame instead of universal full frame clamps do I have to loosen the anchors on the side that’s pushed backwards in diamond. Thanks

Yep same principle no matter what frame equipment you’re using. The only issue is with floor pots it’s harder to anchor because you never seem to have enough or in the right spots . Good luck and thanks for watching

Our chief has anchors on to frame machine that fall into pockets. This makes it impossible to have free moving fixtures on one rail while holding the other also cross beams attaching left to rt.. i dont think it is possible to properly pull diamond with these fixtures anchoring system..Chief ezliner system

I’m not familiar with the Chief anchors but I would think you could let the frame slide in the anchor to pull diamond. Thanks for watching

This is some very incomplete and incorrect information. All frames are divided into 3 sections and a diamond will cause a really noticeable lateral or sway misalignment out in the end sections from the out of square center section.

You’re partially correct. It was incomplete because other videos in this series covered straightening in more detail. This video is just about how to pull diamond out of the frame without adding more side sway. I don’t think there was any misinformation because I’ve done this for decades and it always works.
