After getting the defect detector read-out, I continued waiting for the Amtrak Carolinian as I knew it'd be coming before too long. After about an hour of waiting, AMTK 80 came flying through with a P42DC for power. It seems the Carolinians are still using solid Genesis power, at least for the time being.
This crossing is another nice one, featuring another late-70s SCL WCH install that's still largely original. The only major change here appears to have occurred sometime between 2016 and (presumably) 2018, when CSX upgraded this crossing to LED. Thankfully, they've remained almost entirely unchanged otherwise, complete with their original gate mechs and healthy-sounding 1st Gen WCH mechanical bells! Hopefully these signals remain largely unchanged for many more years to come, but, either way, I'm glad I filmed them when I did.

Great video and crossing, glad to see those late 1970s SCL signals still going strong. By the way, I hear the crossing next door on Edgerton Street that also has a late 1970s SCL install.

Nice, I plan on recording a train in Owassa in a few days, I bet CSX replaced that blown out light on the cantilever on Owassa Road by now, if they did, you think it’ll be a WCH 2nd Gen LED, a Leotek EV series LED or a Leotek IL series LED?
