Being a huge Cold Chisel fan from the beginning, everyone was about Jimmy ( and I love him so much, make no mistake) but it was all about Mossy for me, lol. Between the guitar magic, his gorgeous voice, and of course those dimples, I never stood a chance, hehe. If you get a chance, you need to hear Bow River, by Cold Chisel, Ian Moss wrote it and sings lead on it and I massively recommend the live version from their 2006 Ringside Tour, you will thank me later, lol. Thanks for this, so fun. ✌❤

Ahh this is a lovely memory for me, Ian Moss has a fantastic voice, and as everyone has said, he was in Cold Chisel with Jimmy Barnes.. I think they complemented each other very well. I remember this song so very well - it was 1989.. Thanks for the memories and the great reaction from you Sue..

Glad you got around to Ian Moss, Sue .. He contributed lead vocals to a number of very good Cold Chisel songs, as well as providing his always tasty guitar work .. Didn't have many solo hits, but this one was very big in Australia .. The beautiful woman in the video is Australian actress Tasma Walton, who was in many TV series as well as movies and other work.

@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, it is too bad Ian didn't do a lot more solo stuff. He is really good. I am sure I have seen her in something. Jesse said she was in Home and Away so I may have seen her in that. 😀💕

Mossy has been going strong for 50 years , i saw him in October with Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel ,Ian is the co vocalist with Jimmy and guitarist with Cold Chisel . You should hear his solo version of Georgia ,Americans who watch this a blown away .One of the best Vocalist and Solo guitarist combined you will ever see . Narrabri is a Beef and Grain town in North Western New South Wales .

Ian Moss aka Mossy is such a brilliant guitarist and singer, and is in my all time favourite band Cold Chisel, whom I saw in October, for their Big 5-0 tour. I did buy this album, and the song was huge in 1989 when it was released. Whilst my favourite solo artist, Jimmy Barnes, is the lead singer of Chisel, Ian sings lead on many of their hits, and they have so many. I have watched your review of Khe Sanh. I see you have already had suggestions for Ian with Georgia. Another song where Ian starts singing in Cold Chisel is called Bow River, and When the War is over. Please, Please consider live versions and I would suggest from their 2003 Ringside concert, just for the extra harmonica (especially in Bow River) you get from live versions. Wild Thing (yes it is a cover) from the Last Stand concert shows just how Ian can match his guitar sound by ear, and One Long Day, 1978 live version. There are many more, but hopefully these songs can show you his absolute brilliance. he is 69 years young and let me tell you, he has not lost any of his voice or guitar skills. Long live Mossy 🎉🎉

Catchy earworm, along with his song Telephone Booth. Ian Moss was the lead guitarist and secondary lead singer of Cold Chisel (Jimmy Barnes the first lead)

@PjRjHj Yes very catchy 😀💙

Yep, this very good number and " Telephone Booth" were his 2 most successful solo songs .. Both good tunes ! .. And how lucky were Cold Chisel to have someone with such a great blues / rock voice as their No.2 singer .. Would have been the No.1 in most other bands.

@wayne_twentyfive For sure, Wayne. Ian would most definitely be a number one and an elite number one in most bands...really enjoyed his voice in this one 🥰💜

First listen as well for me. I've heard the name Ian Moss and he does look familiar but for the most part I don't know anything about his music. Enjoyed the song and liked the guitar solo. For the most part the song felt like a cookie cutter song from the 80's.

@@playitagainsue Not really, I have the felling I came across him through conversation or related to the guitar. I'm not sure if he has a big following among guitar players but if he does that's where I most likely would have heard about him.

I don’t know this song or any of Ian’s solos work but It should have been a worldwide hit I did this it was from around 83 or 84 MTV era sorta like John Waite but for 89/90 it might have just been too late The actress is from Home and Away ( like so many others ) Do you get Home and Away in Canada ? Or have you seen it ?
@playitagainsue11 күн бұрын
@jessem470 Hey Jesse, I agree and what a great point about the timing of the release...so true. I have seen Home and Away a few times when I lived in New Zealand. I think I can access it here in Canada on CTV I believe. 🤗💙
