This is a funny joke because he says "Aye" instead of "yes" which sounds like "i" but you can't tell which one he is saying, So now you don't know what brakes he has fitted because he said "Aye" or may have been "i".

Had a 2.0 silver top Mk2 XR2 a few years back as a daily, the most dangerous,uneconomical,unreliable,uncomfortable car Ive owned. Also the quickest and most fun. I miss it. E737 HNO if anyone knows its whereabouts? Forced to sell it by the unhappy Mrs after I took out a lease on a Focus ST. Great video thanks for sharing and keep em coming.👍

This is my favourite car that you have reviewed,I used to have a MK1 XR 2 with a 1700 with a Kent A2 cam and a pcs exhaust system and it was the best fun car I have ever had and I would have never got rid of it but it was stolen by joyriders and they trashed it so it was written off so I replaced it with a 205gti but it was not as good as the xr2.

I miss my fast ford, a Ford Fiesta Mk2 Xr2, it was a 2.0l Motorsport engine literally a road legal rally spec. In original Black and Red pinstripe, fog light up at the front bumper which i later removed. It had thicker tyres on pepperpots which later i dropped and replaced the axels to fit 5 spoke TSW. It was fast as fk and beautiful even my dad was scared of it, he could barely fit in it 6ft5. Me and my family did some fixing to areas that gained rust and added mods to it. You think this sounds nice mine was a beast with original exaust but soon as i put a new exhaust system from front to back on Big Bore 4 man it was a monster, the sound ticking over was mint. New upto date handbrake cable setup from a Zetec Fiesta, i cant remember the suspension brand that we fiited i think it was eibach with red springs, we got new set completely free of a mate who owned Xr2i's. We fitted new leafs and struts, as it needed it, fitted a new radiator, k&n filter and kit, new wiring looms throughout the car and engine bay, new clean red pipes and tubes to go with Motorsport engine block which was chrome and red. It was sexy as fk and didnt need a whole lot doing to it but it made a huge difference. If i still had my baby it would of been pimped out for sure with loads of mods, tech you name it. May the little Demon rest in peace, she went through alot since she was born, bought and grew up in a gang life in Liverpool and Manchester. She was a getaway car for few robberies and cop chases even took a shot in original rear window and left rear fender, which we had to go ti a lkcal place that did alot of car parts for Ford/Vauxhall. She went from a road legal rally spec motorsport version fiesta to having a rap sheet driven by a drug dealer for a northwest family then being wanted it ended up in my town and my arms through contacts and all for £50, as the fella was wanted too he wanted to scrap it, i knew the breakers and they knew i was after a Fiesta for a year. Soon as she was in my arms i began to look after her, modify her until she was taken out by my dad, literally murdered out of spite, he was a drunk, a bad dad and wanted to get back at me. Everytime i see these cars it brings back memories, i love to iwn tbe same version i had but back then there was less than 10 left on the road including mine.

This is the same "sunday morning vindaloo s**t" brown as my Mum and Dad's B reg Escort back in the 80s... also described as Burgundy or Maroon. My a**e was it either. Bleeding bum brown it is... lovely motor though. Nostalgia overload... if that was on pepper pots i would call that 10/10, but thats only my preference, im sure many will disagree. And i WOULD keep the colour the same even if it got a re-spray, as it is perfectly of the time. Beige body, with black vinyl roof on a hard top was considered class not long before this! Ah, memories

I built one similar years ago when the bits were cheaper but no quaife and a xr2i cvh lump and injection system instead of the zetec With mods I would guess I had 130-140bhp Great car still miss it now It was rapid for back then
