those yachts are so nice, and if you ever do hit something, the hood is so long the ambulance will make it on scene before you do.

The transmission in that '70 Cadillac must be in pretty decent shape, along with a well-tuned engine in good condition. I'm not surprised that it had been getting over 14 MPG. It's probably running as efficiently as it did back in the early-70's.

@@hoost3056, they often had a slight slip from 1st to 2nd, but would run fine like that forever if you didn’t beat them.

New radial tires also contribute to better fuel economy, as radials have less rolling resistance than bias-ply tires. The hole in the muffler results in less back pressure, helping to lower fuel consumption. When the muffler falls off the MPG will improve even further..
I can't imagine how that's possible! I could believe 10....but 14?

Just a tip with plugged jet inside the carb. With the engine running and air cleaner off, place your hand on the choke flap , fully hit the throttle and quickly shut the choke flap then release the choke and let off the throttle. See how well that works after a time or two.

I love seeing y'all as together as a family and having a great time with the trip. I hope that I can do that soon with my family because I haven't seen them in over 2 years due to covid and that I'm in a different country and is very expensive for them to come over. I love this channel.
