Thanks a lot man. Truck boxes are always a little tricky for me. Making sure there is enough clearance for sub flex and the magnet. 😁

Yes sir! They definitely get the job done and doesn't need a lot of space to go it.

im going out on a limb with 2 x 10" shallow subs in a sealed enclosure, like yours and am gonna use the advice you gave in your other video building 3x 10" with each it's own space, makes sense. I'm looking to get that quality bass sound, as opposed to spl loud bass thumping from my current ported tube 12" It does produce nice sustained bass, which I like, but the "kicks" are just too much and dont sound good to me. hope sealed 2x10" shallow will resolve this

deeper purpose - That's awesome man 👍🏽 Sealed boxes will perform exactly as the requirements you listed. I run sealed in my current SUV. Performed great 💯 Sealed will give you great sq bass and low notes that aren't abusive, but carry very well. Good luck 👌🏾

I appreciate that sir 👌🏾Finishing up on another one this week. It was a pretty straight forward sealed box build, for 2-8s. Thanks for the comment.

Appreciate it NatureBoyTC! Installed in his truck this evening. He immediately noticed a difference in the bass quality. Running a Prime1200.1 and with the subs facing up, the back seats now have mad flex👌🏾

@evinjensen32864 жыл бұрын
What do you think about the skar vd series compared to these.
@210Designs4 жыл бұрын
Evin Jensen - I base my subwoofer selection off price, build quality and customer service. RF is the truth, but price point is insane. I’d go with Skar’s SD line 👌🏾

@@210Designs ,well I have a 2019 Nissan frontier desert runner crewcab (4 doors)and need a box made.i haven't figured out what speakers to use but I know my space is very limited.do you have any recommendation on subs and a price range on the box?
@210Designs5 жыл бұрын
Johnny Meeks - Truck boxes are very air space limited. Depending on what position you want the sub(s) facing. If front, most trucks are around 8-9” tall, so maybe 6-1/2” or 8” sub. If it’s down firing or facing up, you’ll need to consider a shallow mount or a sub that’s mounting depth will work. I’ve personally never built for that truck, so I’m not sure what the dimensions would be.

Nice job boss! I've been wanting to get into car audio and I was just wondering how did you get into it? Where would you recommend I start?
@210Designs8 жыл бұрын
Rozco's Modern Life - I've been messing with these boxes, since I was in high school '95. I would recommend watching as many vids as you can and take notes. Take a little from each style and make it your own. That's what I do and learning something new, with every build. Make mistakes, learn from them and you'll get better. If your going to do this for side $, I'd invest in some good tools. Check out a few of my older vids and I show what tools I use and how 👍🏽 practice, practice, practice! Best of luck to you. *Also I use the12volt.com & reaudio.com/info/RE_box_calculator.php

Which is best down facing or up facing I'm building a sealed sub box for 2 12s with 60 40 rear seats.
@210Designs5 жыл бұрын
brandon mclaughlin - I prefer up facing. Sub sound waves can travel through seat, rather than against the floor board.
@promodmerc4 жыл бұрын
@@210Designs Are you able to build a larger (taller) enclosure by up firing?
@210Designs4 жыл бұрын
@@promodmerc - I believe so, only be cause the bottom of the seats are hollow. They have fabric on the bottom, but you can push it up several more inches or even remove it if needed. If you like down fire enclosures, you can do the same. By extending the top of the enclosure (which is where the sub magnet will be) into the bottom of the seat, allowing more internal airspace and ability to us a sub, that has a deeper mounting depth 🤙🏾 Hope that information helps.

@BJ Hammon, I have 07 Dakota Crew cab with fold up seats. what will be the dimensions for a box for 2- 10" JL Audio shallow mount under the back seats? Also can I build a box or leave up to pros?
@210Designs7 жыл бұрын
Tyson Hawkins - Great subs 👏🏽 As for the dimensions, I would need to know the measurements underneath the seat, with the seat down. And yes you can build it, if you have the tools and patience.

Top for added subwoofer clearance of the seat. Bottom to raise for transmission hump.
