(2) 13 ton Aaon's....multiple alarms.....simple problem causing all kinds of issues.

That’s was cool. Don’t deal with Aons but I have had similar this happens with Emerson E2 controller modules that are mounted o. RTUs for remote operations. As soon as you were showing the weird codes I thought bad connection. Good stuff JJ

Thanks Bryan...the biggest issue was that when there is a module fault..Aaon controllers will default to factory program. These are using the E-Bus comms. Its very similar to other systems that daisy chain their comms. Thanks for the comment.

so you just remade those splices at the OA TnH ? correct? I have a handful of Aaon here on Long Island Sound, definately remembering to check , , ,

Yes sir. Wasn't worried because they are using voltage and not resistance. I used a hygrometer to confirm what the sensor was reading vs what it really was. It was mighty close. So i know im not causing a false reading due to a voltage drop or additional resistance to the input. Thanks for the comment

What was your clue,how did you figure out that conector/sensor was bad

Because I was getting so many errors, especially for weird stuff. The whole thing works on a comm bus. Every module is daisy chained together. The fact all the modules were showing alarms, gave me an indication that it was something on the comm bus.

Addison units are just as bad as Aaons. Id take a Trane with a Symbio controller any day over an Aaon!

I really don't mind AAON units. Yes they can be a pain at times....but like anything....enough practice and bumping you head....it gets easier. Thanks for the comment
