More to come. Slowly, but we'll get there.

Yeah boys! Loved the vid guys. Good to see you still use the ol pointer Hooks. The 260c looks great on the southernways as well.

Good first effort - looking forward to you guys improving your knowledge on video and audio production as we learn about wheels.
@BarrelBros4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we're learning slowly. Getting the time to do all this is the main drama.

Really enjoying the videos so far, please keep the tips and tricks coming. I have one question... Is there any problem resting the wheels on wooden blocks as you did in the video for test fitting? I was worried about doing the same in case the weight of the vehicle damaged the wheel. I noticed your wooden block sat on the barrel and not across the entire width of the wheel... so no weight was placed on the lips themselves.
@BarrelBros5 жыл бұрын
Yep, we put the blocks as close to under the centre as possible and don't drop the car onto it.

hello.! I like your work, congratulations, I have a query. What do you do when you have to restore a two-piece ring that has the plate welded to the barrel? example a super advan racing SA3R Is it advisable to remove the solder to be able to polish the lip, paint and then solder the two pieces? thank you and congratulations on your work.
@BarrelBros3 жыл бұрын
The way that those are assembled they are basically a 1 piece wheel.

Gotta ditto on the hard left pan for the voice audio, that's a 5 minute fix in Audacity or similar if you get to it soon enough - sound is great apart from that. also did I miss drilling the holes in the new lips or did you? also also what does the vapour blaster shoot?
@BarrelBros5 жыл бұрын
Water, compressed air, and medium. We use a fine round glass. Drilling is boring.
@WilliamMoser5 жыл бұрын
@@BarrelBros thought that's what it looked like, at the very least it would cut down on dust which is always good, looks much smoother than dry blasting too. did you just make a drilling/boring pun? :)

Awesome. I need 2 lips replaced on my Southern Ways. But I'm in the states. Any places that carry them?

Why just bin the old lips?
@BarrelBros4 жыл бұрын
Narrow and pitted mainly. People don't come to us for narrow lips, they want bigger ones. The lips went to the recyclers.

Your audio is a touch broken boys, only 1 channel is working, for the intro at least
