Fun to watch along . I’m doing my 74 nova , learning to weld and repairing a rotten trunk area and replacing parts of inners and trunk drops … I can watch painting all day , loved doing it since I was a kid ! … great example of how to save a car that will now outlive all of us

Great instructional videos on the Duster. Makes rust repair at home alot easier and cheaper than shop prices. Plus you can say you did it yourself. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

WOW, to see that car in primer and remembering what a rust bucket it used to be is simply amazing to watch. When I lay under car and spray up I use a suction gun. But you got it done looking great!!

I should have. I think i still have one. I need to dig it out if i do. I am still locating things since moving that i didnt put in the correct place. Lol

@@HoosierGarage I used your Duster floor replacement videos as a guide to replace full floor in my '69 Barracuda. Got it done and swapped in T56 as part of floor replace. I have been able to drive the car around a bit still putting together. But your videos were instrumental helping me get that rust holed floor replaced.

Looking good Adam, keep up the good work. Its gonna sure be nice when she's done. Lol, its better to join the ATV/ORV people than try to beat them. At least he was driving cool. I've seen them drive by house doing 60mph on 1 wheel in a 25mph zone...

Very nice ....sectioning keeps one from being overwhelmed!! With the epoxy primer coating the underside, are we to assume you'll prep for a top coat there....like for a chassis specific paint? Surely putting a rust converter on now would be useless.
@HoosierGarage7 ай бұрын
I used some rust encapsulator on the tight areas and sanded off the loose. Regular automotive paint and undercoating will do, or something like you said, chassis specific that can take a beating.

I swear we are living parallel lives. The last 2 weekends in Bargersville I learned alot more than I wanted to about welding upside down. 😢 and I picked up a tip just watching this video as you were on off....on off with your mig. Quick question. .30 wire or .24? Settings? I have the same welder. Can't believe there is an Argon shortage in the great USA!
@HoosierGarage7 ай бұрын
.24 wire with gas. I use hottest settings usually and control trigger and timing. I lower to 3 or 4 if its too thin.
