Did I hear that "painting music" in a Mannix car chase about 55 years ago? I think I may be getting that LSD flashback they warned us about in the 1960s. Just kidding! I didn't experiment with that until the 70s! Psyke! Seriously tho, great to see this build progressing. I painted my Vette (77 yeah I know) last year, and when you see color going on the car all the BS leading up to it seems all worth it! "Hey, it really IS a car"!!!

As a 72 Duster restorer and owner. You’re doing a great job. I took mine down to the last nut and bolt like your doing. I’m looking forward to seeing yours being finished and mint like mine. Great color btw. Mine is TB3 Basin street blue with black bucket seat car. I see your car has the bucket seat plates on the floor also.

Looks GREAT! Love that shade of green, I believe its the same code as my '74 Duster. Good tip on the roof rails, that's a sneaky edge!

@@OlysGarage the color on a 74 is likely a little different. More mint vs. Olive. In fact, that green from 74 is on that hood i show that didnt work out. Thanks for watching!

getting it all color look like a charm and it might be ready by Christmas and I really need to hurry and get my truck ready just to rebuild the Termoquad carb and fix up the front body and set the v-8 in bolt it all up and I should have it running although I need to find a way to get the dual Cherrybomb glasspacks off the 71 Polara 4dr I use to drove the car setting rotting away in the backyard had not drove since 2012 the car is for sale but the only thing is good is the 383 2bbl engine and the 727 T/F trans.

Oh I recommend instead of dipping the hood you should get plastic media blasted. That will clean the hood and not warp the metal. It’s another way to try.

@@Gizmo-518 if you mean the fender top that big spot, its the filler blob where the turn signal indicator was

@Gizmo-518 thought you meant on the target area of the paint. Thats the filler. Its not been sanded yet.
