I did the same on my 2021, but with 33s … no rubbing whatsoever. Also kept the factory wheels for now, as I’m told that these trucks are very unforgiving with a lot of aftermarket offsets (i.e. major trimming will be needed). No wheel spacers in my case; the tires are flush on mine. 👍🏻

Got the same size tire with factory wheels no spacers with just a rough country 2 inch leveling kit. You could go bigger on tire size if you want. Nice truck!

It looks great 👍 I have a 2019 I put the 3.5 inch ready lift in the front that came with the 1 inch for the back but I bought a 3 inch lift from rough country for the back that came with a shock to keep the back up higher cause I tow a camper and boat and nothing looks more rediculas then towing down the highway with your tail dragging on the ground .. lol

And I put the 1.5 inch spacers on as well and I noticed the front is not as wide as the back and I haven’t got rims yet but i wondering about two different negative allowances to even out the look .. it will make rotating the tires crappy and essentially cost more in the end but it would look so great ! you know a diff drop doesnt do anything for the ball joints? its lessens the cv axle angle. What is your caster at with those stock upper arms and going up 2.5”? i went up 1.5” with stock arms and it maxed the caster at 2.6degrees (stock is 3)

@@rogerpeters778 your warranty will void if you do any aftermarket mod on yourself. If you have the dealership put on there factory you'll be fine. But that's something you'll have to double check with your dealer before doing it in case anything happen also

It rubbed a little bit on the frame of the truck before we added the spacers. But once we added the spacers it started rubbing on the wheel well and we had to do some trimming.

Hey! Truck looks great! Looking to do this lift on my Colorado Z71. How is your front upper ball joint angle with the lift in? Also, do you have any clunking or feel like the upper control arm is bottoming out at all while driving in rough terrain? Thanks for the video!

Thanks! our kit came with a 1in front diff drop to keep the ball joint from having too much stress on it. we occasionally have a clunk when going over really rough stuff, but we think it might only be the hitch .

@@jack-standdriveway2720 the dif drop is for your CV joints, it does nothing for your ball joints. You might want to check into some upper control arms. I just got a 22 Colorado and ordered the Rough Country 2" lift struts and a 1" block for the back. I also ordered sway bar relocation bracelets because a lot of people say you need it, I don't know but for $27 no biggie. I stayed at 2" to avoid problems with ball joints and CV problems. In the future I'll probably do a full 4" lift. Nice truck 😉

@@tsharpton1 I used the factory 1" block from my 2018 Silverado Z71. I had the blocks and u bolts from my Silverado after I put a lift on it. From what I understand you can get them off E bay , a junk yard or your local chevy dealer. Just get a GM 1" block and U bolts, fit perfect and I read they're cheap if you have to buy them. I just googled sway bar relocation bracket for Colorado. The ones I got are billet and fit perfect. They're made in America 🇺🇸 Street Ray's I believe, $26.95

Question so I pretty much have the same set up on my 2022 crazy thing is it's the same color as your's. Anyway I have 275/70R17 BFG AT KO2 and I had tons of rubbing I actually took the front bumper out and put the metal fab hidden winch bumper, thinking that would eliminate the rubbing however I still had rubbing in the rear fender so I'm swapping out to a 265/70R17 but in reality that's only a 1/2" difference in diameter. So my question to you is did you do any trimming to the liner or trimming at all on the back of the front fender ?

with no wheel spacers the tires rubbed a little on the frame in the back of the front fender at full lock. but after the wheel spacers, only the front of the front fender needed to be trimmed.

I did have 275's just turning the wheel left and right was a straight-up rub vest no driving no dips no bumps no hills just in the parking lot turning the wheel tires rub I switched to 265 it was like night and day I have the wheel spacers all that good stuff with both size of tires but 265 is where you want be anything bigger is a disaster

Did your tires rub? I have a 2017 Z71 with the exact same setup but I used 2" spacers. I have the same size tires as you but mine rub pretty good turning left. Did you have this problem and if so how did you get it solved? Thanks

Fixed the rub. Just did some trimming. They definitely look bad ass after these mods. Love the way mine looks and rides. Just had the alignment done two days after the mods went on.

We didn’t, we just account for the tires when driving. I believe there are some tuners that you can buy that would recalibrate the speedo for the tire size.

Tuners from Rough Country will work but are a little pricey. Mechanics I’ve talked to have great tuners but don’t have the tire size option because feds disabled that option cause they think they will also change the odometer readings. Crazy stuff

those spacers typically destroy ride quality, i got my canyon over the tacoma because of ride quality, couldn't imagine adding spacers and making it worse.
