In this weeks wargaming terrain tutorial, I go over 2 really simple projects using mostly scraps and odds and ends from other projects. I do end up finding an unfinished piece that I throw into the mix as well, so you also get to see that one come together with all the details.
These wargaming terrain pieces are crafted with cereal box cardboard, scrap foam board, and a few other easy to get materials. Hopefully, you'll find some of these techniques useful in reproducing these builds, or adding to your own terrain projects.
Thanks to BenQ to supplying and letting me share the Desk Lamp with you all. It's a great addition to the hobby desk. Details are below.

Hey, nice builds has always ! Just wanted to point out a cheap alternative for barbed wire, you can get som security wires for like 15 pounds per 100m, there are many types but some are exactly the same thing than these army painter little wire, have bought one a year ago and still has not gone through even a quarter of it, using it for basing and very numerous trench/ww1 terrain projects

Thanks Ezechiel, I have heard that the security wire is a perfect replacement for the Army Painter wire, and much better value as you say. I plan to go that way eventually, but it turns out a little bit goes a long way and I'm still working my way through this AP stuff haha. But thanks for pointing this out, I'll pin this comment so others can hopefully see this suggestion. Cheers mate.

Brother, thank you for your video and good information. My ancestors mostly came from the UK and it was refreshing seeing your British sense of humor as a complement to being a highly quality craftsman. It's almost like the core values of pragmatism, stoicism, appreciation for competency, and frank sense of humor are similar to the remnants of the decaying rebel colonies, just more mature. KUDOS

Crazy that lamp is more expensive than their monitors. Very nice looking lamp, and looks useful for hobbying more so then anything else.

Fantastic build with stuff everyone should have laying around. Hope your recovery is still going well. I totally get where you are coming from with it all now as I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and yeah, everything is so daunting. Watching your videos helps. Thanks.

Thank you. Wow, I hope you are feeling ok. It's a bit of a shock both mentally and physically when it all goes down, but you should be able to find a few support services and cardiac rehab facilities that should be able to help you recover as quickly as possible. My advice is to take it easy, I can tell you from experience its not hard to over do it and end up hurting yourself and being out of action for a few weeks. Take care and all the best.

@@RFDHobby thank you 😊 I'm in Melbourne so luckily have access to rehab and other services which I am taking advantage of. I'm not used to taking it easy being a stay-at-home mum of 3. But yeah, mentally and emotionally it has been more challenging than the physical aspects of it. But I'm getting there, thank you 😊

Great build. Love the detail of rebar and torn posters along with the debris and grass tufts on the bases.
@RFDHobby
@RFDHobby 3 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it. Adding those details is probably my favorite part of the whole process. Having a few extra bits left over from other builds, like the pallets and the drums, really helps to mix things up for what would otherwise just be rocks and bits of timber scattered around. So it's really worth making extra of those little details for future builds. Thanks for watching and commenting mate.

Great video, the terrain has just the right amount of grunge to it! That is a nice lamp but not 230.00 nice.
@RFDHobby
@RFDHobby 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I have to agree, at that price it's just too risky a purchase without knowing it's going to be a decent lamp, and even now I know now that's it is a really good lamp, unless I was rolling in cash, I just couldn't see myself jumping on this one either. It's a real shame, because this is a really good lamp. Thanks for the comment man

Hey man, nice to see a tutorial from you again! Great build. I love making scatter terrain out of scraps. Sometimes I'll just challenge myself to make as much as I can just out of junk I have lying around and leftovers from previous builds. Waste not, want not.
