In this second espiode of Wakkos play and explain series he dives in to the 500NL zoom pool on Pokerstars again in which he explains the difference between making a bet for protection and making a bet for value and when betting for protection is overdone. He also finds himself in some good spots to jam and donkbet the river, and he is not to shy to go for these opportunities when they arise, and he closes the session of evaluating some of the hands he played. Enjoy!

Great video. Thank you for the great play-by-play content and the solver analysis at the end! While not as in-depth, I used to enjoy watching Doug Polk's polker hands series but those are finished now.....and I really dislike watching most/all of the poker vlogs, lol. The higher level strategy content with a mix of humor/memes/etc is definitely what I'm looking for, so finding your channel has been a blessing for that! The A2hh on the 689hhQJh board, I think sb doesn't donk much after bb bets turn because bb has a higher frequency of flushes...he's calling a lot more suited hands that sb isn't opening (this is also extremely exaggerated if sb has a limp range), 3betting pre with a lot of pairs/broadways/unsuited polar hands, and smallblind had to do more splitting of flushdraws on flop/turn. I'd guess if given A2hh on river, solver donks with it sometimes while not with A3-A4hh because the 2h actually does block more of the 32hh-62hh/92-K2hh hands that bb would be betting for value. Villain's hearts hands with the 3h/4h are more likely to have been in his pol-3bets preflop (45hh, 93-94hh, T3-T4hh, J3-J4hh), and the 32hh is an extra combo as well...it looks like the 2h hands benefit slightly more from semibluffing turn as well for equity denial as compared to the 3h/4h hands that might have slightly more showdown value? It does make sense to me to donk river sometimes, though, if villain is still raising Tx vs our sizing enough and isn't betting those 2-pairs when checked to.

Great video! Am loving these play and explains. Small request, though. Can you film or make these vids available in higher quality? 720p makes it difficullt to follow the Wizard analysis. Would really appreciate it. Thanks, Wakko. EDIT: Just noticed you addressed this in a similar comment from another viewer. Thanks, guys!

Wakko, as a suggestion, it would be great if you can use higher resolution. I can see you fine and the hands, but when you do your analysis at the end (best part for me) the GTO Wizard screen is blurry on the small fonts. I wish I could see that better. Anyway, thanks.

Hi, about the A2hh hand betting turn pure is a good play because we do wanna have bluffs when 4 straight liner comes on the riv A2hh is a very good candidate for that because has flush equity and over card to the board and unblocks the call turn fold riv vilaan's hands if riv completes 4 to a straight. not having a larger leading range on the J riv is simply cs most of our Tx (if not all) are betting either flop or turn so we're basically lacking straights on the riv as played, and not having that much flushs relatively to how wide we got to the riv as played.

Hey, great video! Very nice to hear your thought process. I think the A5 hand at the 58 min mark, where you faced the xr, should always check the turn? Also seems like a board where we want to delay only with a big sizing?

Yes from a GTO perspective i agree, however i think range construction in the XX-X line and after is far from optimal so its a spot where vs guys who i dont play against that often i like to take a more exploitative approach

High level poker it's getting insane. I mean, wtf with some plays the solver do. Not even top regs can play like that. I understand that the understanding of blockers/unblockers is basically the full story about how to play, but this is almost ridiculous. It's like chess, where machines just fuc*ed up the game on some spots, like openings. Poker should have evolved as a human construct, not as a mimic of artificial inteligence.

If you mean from a GTO perspective i agree, however i checked that hand in a solve and Ac5x for example is still bluffing the river even tho its a bad blocker, so if thats why you thought it was super bad, you might be overaplying blockers

@@MechanicsOfPoker thanks for the reply, I was wondering about why those blockers would affect your decision
