it could be a good idea to use it only with silicone mat when you doing any reflow or soldering because using wood could be a fire hazard also a good idea: find one of those thick aluminum tin foils or a disposable cheap aluminium oven tray you can buy at the supermarket and use it to cover the wood surface, that could add a little bit extra safety from fire risks

A better option is to get a mic boom arm,or like i used a desk lamp arm(exactly the samething).i also used one of those cell phone dash mounts with the flexible arms and modified the end with a CCTV camera wallmount so it will screw right into the 201..
