2 Bedroom Apartment Decorating For Comfort!

New Spring Decor For My 2 Bedroom Apartment! 2022 Trends & Chat! I did a bedroom makeover in the latest trends of green, whicker & bamboo candles and textured vintage quilts and pillows I found at Walmart & Amazon. I found a beautiful rug for my living room bringing the outside in.
I show you some flower arrangements I made in honor of the times we live in. We tour my apartment bedroom and living room and I get to share with you the new spring decor that I bought on a budget and I mean budget!
I share with you a very intimate story about my life and why seeing the bravery of the Ukrainian women carrying their children inspired me to make a centerpiece of the colors of the Ukraine flag in blue and gold.

thank you for showing the Ukrainian Flag it originated in 1858 but was not allowed to be flown when Russians invaded during WW1. But when the Wall fell, the flag was resurrected. Blue is the peace of the sky and yellow the wheat of the country, bread basket of Europe. . Well, can you count one new rug for my LR? A neighbor bought an 8x10 ruggables and it goes well with my furniture. She sold it to me for a very good price and it will be easier for my 13 year old Dolly to walk on it not the hardwood floor.

Love your style. I'm currently separated from my husband of 20 years and "homeless" as the house was willed to him by his Mother. I'm living with my beautiful daughter and her family. Start changing out those pictures in this apartment little by little from your thrift store. Why wait? Recreate your space just by rearranging. I have a niece who is awesome at taking people’s own stuff and rearranging or freshening them. My husband divorced me in 2020 and i was torn apart that year and last year. I moved 3000 miles away to help my eldest with her children. I made my little studio apartment my own with lovely decor. Still miss my man but love my little bit of new identity. Our troubles are small compared to what the people in Ukraine are going through. It is upsetting! We here in Canada have flown children battling Cancer to our hospitals. The cows are all different colors and so curious and so beautiful. I 'm glad you included them. Yes, the people from Ukraine are so brave it just makes me so humble. A picture that touched me was the strollers placed by the Polish women for the women and children arriving by train...no people in the picture just the strollers waiting for them.

Nature is always calming. Bringing in the colors of the outside has been my go-to during these past two years, my mental balm. My sanctuary place is both my bedroom and my enclosed patio room. Lots of light. You’re bedroom is beautiful, an oasis❤️ I painted a huge mural on one bedroom wall of a path winding it’s way through a garden filled with flowering plants and trees, the path making it’s way to a bench among all this splendor. It never fails to calm me, it’s like looking at Spring all year round. And I think honoring the brave people of Ukraine is wonderful.

Wow, if I was your neighbor and you came to my home you would think I copy your style. I also incorporated green color, wicker accents, and plants in my home. I been looking for a wicker plant stand or table, but they are outrageously price. When I was first married we had no money for furniture, but I was so happy to be married and have my own apartment. I found a store that made wicker furniture (can’t find that now) brought two chairs, settee and coffee table and I was happy as a lark. Now this was over 52 years ago and wicker furniture was only considered for patios or gardens. I didn’t care I was so happy I had my own little home to decorate. I would love to see you get a picture or painting that would reflect the life and home you plan to get. With the grace of God and the law of attraction this can truly work in attracting your new house. Loving your new decor.

I created a comforting space in my bedroom too. I love to sit in my cozy chair that belonged to my grandmother, play my mandolin, write some music or just sit by the little electric fireplace I scavenged for free. Most of my decor is from Goodwill or is a hand me down (heirloom! LOL!). But I use paint and imagination to create a whole new look with these old things. It’s so important to have a place to reflect and rest. I love the new quilt you chose. Greens are so tranquil and comfortable to live with. I am praying for the people of the 🇺🇦 Ukraine!!! Even during the night when I awake and can’t sleep. I hope they can feel the strength of those prayers.

I rewatched this video again and thought how lovely it is to have a space, a special spot that calms the soul, to reflect and center oneself. I crocheted a multi coloured bedspread for my bed. I went shopping this week with my newly found sister that was given up for adoption , she just moved to a new place and she's decorating everything in bright colors and she found a bright orange pillow for her couch that says hello sunshine and she said..." now when I come down stairs, the first thing I will see is hello sunshine ! Maybe blank faces or being alone in art is just easier and is left to the imagination or mood. Calm and peaceful is good but maybe the drama keeps us spry. When I was young and strong, I thought i could handle a disaster if one occurred. Now that I'm older, I'm not so sure of how long I could last through one. As we know, everything changes and a person's abilities and purpose changes with age. Do love the smiles the cows bring. They are so cute and are so much smarter than we are led to believe. Like the pic you posted. I think as we age, our eyes are opened to notice more around us (a heightened sense) of safety/security, time to smell those roses.

"There but for the grace of God go I" is a good reminder of how many people have it so much worse. We must be thankful for all our blessings, no matter how small they may seem. I see a sensual women in your art choices, one with fragrant earth around her with love calling her towards home and work after getting lost in nature. The other one is very sensual and the light playing on her skin is like the rennaisance period painters. You could rub a little gold leaf into the dark frames maybe for a lighter reflective touch . 12:45 WHOA! that insight about the theme of the artwork in your home. WHOA!!! If I go back about 8-9 years ago ... my dog, CoCo, had just passed away. And that was heartbreaking, but maybe even more so b/c Myndie, her sister-of-the-heart, was also gone ... as was my father, who had loved them both. Well ... I was just rambling around a yard sale.... and they had a stark painting: this woman was standing on a shore, looking with longing at this person who had turned their back on her and were walking away - and taking the only light in the picture, with them. I bought it b/c it really spoke to me! and put it on my wall. It took several years, but one day I realized that picture was no longer my reality, and so I thrift-donated it. (Maybe I should say a prayer for the next person it speaks to ...)

I feel safe inside, and feel and see my late husband in almost every piece that is here. I have my breakfast and pot of morning tea reflecting. Beautiful tribute today for the brave women of Ukraine! MY spring is full of having moved to a ranch style house from a two story. At our age (76 tomorrow) we would never have taken on a large move except for the stairs. It's getting past the drudgery of opening boxes now and getting down to decorating and hanging my art. Most of my art is made by myself as I paint in watercolor. That way I know I love it. I do have pieces by others I love as well but I am loving the art speaking to me as to just where is the right spot they want to hang. I'm loving my new digs and enjoying the process. I had covid in Dec. which lasted a long time with severe breathing issues. I'm so thankful to be able to work and decorate now.... Finally

Thanks for sharing your Spring renos; your bedroom looks so beautiful, so serene. I've always known I was adopted, but in my twenties, I was told by my parents that my birth father was Ukrainian. Mom thought that birthright contributed to my love of brright colours, and the joy that music, and dance gave me as a child. I then took courses on how to make Ukrrainian eggs, and I learned how to make perogies, cabbage rolls, borsch, and Ukrainian Easter bread. Since Russia recently invaded Ukraine, I have truly felt Ukrainian to my core; the women, and children who are fleeing their homeland look like me. My heart breaks for every one of them as if we are kindred spirit to one another. I have a new Ukrainian flag that I am going to incorporate in my dining room, as part of a table cover for some of my cherished pottery pieces, and the eggs II made. I just hope that peace will come soon for Ukraine,, and their autonomy will remain strong, and intact. Love, and hugs, Susan, Sherrey💕🧸💕

My flower arrangement today was a bouquet I fixed for my baby sons headstone. But what amazes me is that without thinking, I chose the colors yellow gold with blue! I fixed them with baby’s breath and put a pinwheel in it with the gold and blue colors showing. It was a great day, he is buried 3 hours from where I live so it’s a trip we take. Somehow being in that cemetery brings me happiness, no other word describes it. I know he is okay. There is a baby girl buried next to him, she never gets flowers so I put some in her vase too. Happiness!

Hi Susan, I've always loved your wall art. Interestingly I never seen it as anything other than serene strength in women peacefully contented to be alone or enjoying some quiet moments. They say we perceive the world according to our own feelings. I used to be lonely too until this past year here living with my son 29, in Bakersfield and for 6 months my daughter 22, lived here too. Change continues to happen & there may be more this year, but I hope to never return to lonely. I love how you've overcome so much & are happy at last😊 I look forward to seeing your new art someday.
