His prayer is so genuine from his heart, I like how Solomon prayed in detail and thought about the future of his people.

It just goes to show, if world leaders prayed earnestly to God today, then God would answer and there would not be so much conflict!

I went through this chapter and was thinking man, Solomon sounds like a prophet when you go through 1 and 2 Kings. He seemed like a really good man. His downfall is sad. I've been reading through Ecclesiastes and besides the lust/poor choices of women that would be his sin to worship false gods, I also think he had so much wisdom and so much wealth/power that nothing seemed like a challenge to him which might have made him forget that it was the Lord that gave him everything in the first place and he started making poor choices. I pray when he passed away the Lord accepted him into heaven despite what he did

Y’all every time I hear of Solomon, im like, what happened - because eventually Solomon goes after other gods ? I wonder if Solomon will be in heaven or not by the end of his life

If we are reading the Hebrew scriptures, why not use God’s name Jehovah? Or YHWH… Lord is not a name. The fact the name of God was in the Hebrew Scriptures nearly 7000 times… means the original bible writers put it in there for a reason. So… who removed it? Why? Who gave them the power to override Moses, David, Daniel, Ezekiel ect?
