all the things u say aren't certain. not everyone can find an old PC in there dumpster.not everyone has toys that have battery holders in them. not everyone has USB cables lying around. and there is no guarantee that you know people that own an X-acto knife, drill and hot glue gun. Fan at least : 2$ (everyone has some fans they can find) Coffee Box : Get used one free. even if you dont drink coffee you can get it. also it doesnt have to be a coffe box, it can be anything else. Battery : 2$. you are right here, but powering this from 9V is stupid. it will only last for 10 minutes max. battery holder thing : 1$ or you can get free from used 9v battery. USB : 1$ max for an usb cable, + I'm sure you can get one free from a friend or something. Hot Glue Gun : maybe 5$ but everyone has an hot glue gun, and if not u should buy because it is useful for alot of things, not just this project and also for alot of time. Computer Grill : 1$. Knife : you cut your food with knife right? you can use any knife or any thing you can think of to cut. and also even if you buy this x-acto knife you can use this knife for alot of other things. Drill : 40$? everyone has drills. drill is useful for alot of things. if you dont have drill you should buy it now. than you should also say "house : million, food : other million" why not? this project is 10$ max. the tools cost more but alot of people has those tools alerady.

I just made one of these, but I used the small can for freezing and a bigger coffee can for for the cooler. I also attached a on/off switch. I used a spade bit to make holes in the side of the larger coffee can.

I had a load of computer fans, and I carve wood, needed a small sawdust extractor (sawdust vacuum),so I made a sawdust vacuum!! didn't cost me anything! and it works really well! my med. sized fans need 12v, can I use a 9v battery for both? (I got this idea from make magazine, your solder fume extractor- would you like the plans for it? I also made a yardstick coat hanger wire antenna (I sent the plans to make magazine).
