Great work there - a superb base vehicle ! Just a warning for those looking at two door cars - not all from Spain or Portugal are rust free. Don’t ask me how I know . . .

Nice work - I would swap out the factory sound deadening pads for dynomat or similar as the factory pads hold moisture like a sponge. I think the majority of floor rust issues stem from these pads.

You made a comment about not trusting the reliability of a British car. Most US cars are horribly unreliable from new., especially Dodge and Jeep. The problem that you guys have over there is that a high proportion of the foreign cars you have are over 25 years age, and if they haven’t been maintained correctly, any car that age will be trouble. Yes, new Land Rovers are unreliable, and British Leyland in the 70s was synonymous with poor quality assembly, but slagging off an entire nation’s products with zero experience is pretty ignorant. My Range Rover only broke down once in the 12 I drove it and my 109 only broke down when the fuel solenoid on the Tdi burned out (and that part is Bosch). Classic Land Rover reliability issues are almost always down to neglect, not production issues.
