Concrete itself looks modern and stylish, but when you add warm wood and beautifully green plant, the combination just looks so natural, as if it was ripped out from a forest in the mountains. The way the wood peeks out is great and adds a lot to the overall effect. This thing is a MUST DO on my to do list! Thanks a lot, Glenn :D

Very cool. You could also design the lamp with a space in the bottom so that you could add a battery pack, use LED fairy lights inside of a clear Christmas ornament and turn this into a portable night light. Very well done, sir. Your vids are always entertaining and informative.

Looks great! Alcohol will remove hot glue, I've only used it on glass but it should help. And if you prefinished the sides of the wood with something not soluble in alcohol it should come off very easily.

Like the lamp. You could use short length of the pvc to support the bulb base and wouldn't need glue.

Well done. One thought on getting a natural edge on the wood: put the wood in a vice and break it with a hammer. Score it with tiny holes first if you want a specific shape. I think Peter Brown has done something like that with an epoxy pour.
