the world's your oyster with tinto de verano. i lived in madrid for a couple of years and they sometimes differ wildly from bar to bar. at one place, i was served one with fanta lemon, licor 43 and cinnamon. it was delicious.

I bet everyone makes it their way. Some time ago I first discovered tinto de verano in 1,5liter bottles in a Lidl in Barcelona. It was like lemonade. I was addicted at once. By now I make my own with a noname discounter sprite/7up and I sometimes top it with some sparkling water and the juice of a quarter lemon.

Fantastic video. I love Tinto de verano. In Spain it is also common the addition of an ounce of sweet vermouth to the mix (in my experience most places tend to use Martini Rosso) regardless there are nice Spanish options as well. The Rose recipe you shared looks like my new favourite. Thank you; Cheers!

This is a good idea for my homemade wine. I homebrew my own wine but i use bread yeast as opposed to brewing yeast. Doesn't taste that good but my guess of the alcohol content was at 9%. I got 1/3 grape soda, 1/3 wine, and 1/3 grape juice, and i liked it
@Sinnistering3 жыл бұрын
I love wine, I love cocktails, so obviously I had to make the tinto de verano. I only soaked the lemon peels in the sugar for the one hour, but even still--this is amazing. The sweet and sour hits you first, along with the bright lemon aroma of the garnish, but then the wine really shines in the aftertaste. This easily takes the spot of my favorite summer sipper "cocktail". It's sangria, but I can make one glass at a time, and it has that hard to describe quality that just makes it really quite drinkable.

Some tipps for probably a better strawberry sirup result. I use a mix of sugar and salt (maybe like 5% salt to sugar...i really just eyeball that), cut the strawberries into rough pieces and then submerge it with the sugar i let it sit for a day and then add the water

The sherbet is absolutely amazing…thanks for teaching us that. I have also used it with bourbon to make modified whiskey sour and about an ounce of it mixed with 7up is just a plain delicious refreshing non alcoholic beverage. Excellent work🥂. I also took the lemon strips after making the mix and froze them in ice cubes for an extra touch of flavor.

Love the idea of the Tinto drink. I've mixed tired red wine (day old) with an upscale limeade (Odwalla) for a quick Summer cooler for years. Say, your prior recipe for Lime Cordial just came to mind. But back to this one. What do you think about adding a 1/4 oz or dash of Italian Lemoncello such as Pallini to this drink? Too much?
@thebitterfig99033 жыл бұрын
The simple wine cocktail I like is the Manischewitz Rickey. The concord grape wine is, at least to me, far too sweet on its own. But add fresh lime juice and some plain club soda, and it's a wonderful crisp little long drink.

The good: both recipes were fantastic and I agree with all your notes about how the ingredients all play well with each concerning the two wines used. Cheers on that. The bad: your script that you were forced to use for the sponsor was just ridiculous lmao “I hate shopping for wine at the store” -said no one ever. Wine shopping at the store or even online via reviews or word of mouth recommendations is the second most fun part of wine. Shame on you 😂 The ugly: I’ve actually tried Bright Cellars before. It SUCKS and not even worth the price or the time spent filling out their stupid profiles.
