2 for 1 Friday!!! Car VersuS Pole and Stolen Excavator!!

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Today, I give you a special 2 for 1 video!!! Two different jobs with our unit #15, the Peterbilt rollback with a Century LCG12 bed. In the first video, a young lady is very fortunate to not have any injuries after she collided with a utility pole with high voltage main line wires on it. She did manage to knock the pole loose and, as you will find out, a very annoying horn....LOL. Video #2 is a unique situation where we get to recover a very nice looking excavator that has been located after it was stolen. I don't show it on the video, but the owner does get his machine back.

2 Nice jobs that pays the bills... Easy, and SAFE on the highways... Love these jobs... Don't understand how someone can hit a telly pole on a road when there is hardly any traffic unless they fell asleep or were on their cell phone not paying attention... But it happens and thankfully nobody was hurt. That is a sweet excavator...! $83K new... Love the 2 for 1 Ron... Thanks!

Great work Ron! Also handy tip for ford vehicles: what happened with that one was the post-crash SOS system engaged which made the horn honk in that sequence on a loop. You can actually turn it off 3 ways, one way is by battery disconnecting which the cop was trying but could not due to the jammed hood, another way is by pressing the hazard switch on and off, and the final way is by cycling the ignition switch. Hope that helps!

I was in Flagstaff Arizona at a Chase Bank. A woman driving a Brand New Dually Black Pickup was talking on her cellphone not paying attention, and at about 25 mph ran straight into a cement round barrier light pole. She hit so hard that the back end of the pickup lifted into the air. Cell phones and stupid people don't mix.

Ron, brother, I want to first off say that you are doing a top notch job with your towing service. However, I have to fault you on one thing. When you went to pick up the excavator, you didn't honk three times before backing into the alley. As a tow truck driver myself I always make it a point to honk my horn three times before I commence to backing up. I do this in order to insure that people know I am about to back up and thereby get out of the way. Sometimes in those big trucks, there's not much line of sight. Hope this helps in your future endeavors.

Hey, Ron Pratt, I'm pretty sure for Ford's that have the "Post Collison Alert System", (The horn honking and Hazard lights flashing). I think that all you need to do is turn the Hazard lights off by pressing the button. So, you dont have to cut anymore wires. Lmao! The info below is from Ford themself's. POST-CRASH ALERT SYSTEM  The system flashes the turn signal lamps and sounds the horn (intermittently) in the event of a serious impact that deploys an airbag (front, side, side curtain or Safety Canopy) or the seatbelt pretensioners. The horn and lamps will turn off when: The hazard control button is pressed The panic button (if equipped) is pressed on the remote entry transmitter Your vehicle runs out of power

Nice having a ramp truck that's heavy enough that it doesn't matter which way the car goes, had some time on a 77 F350 with a steel jerr-dan. boy it didn't like cars loaded backwards. Equipment auctions can be a good source of decent machines, have the crew in the shop do some repairs and you can end up with a fine tool for specific jobs.

Many people keep house keys and other vehicle keys on their key chain. Besides, the habit of always taking the keys out is a very powerful one to break!

Most of us are taught from very early years, often before we are even driving, not to leave our keys in the car. When accidents happen and we are in shock, our muscle memory does what it has been conditioned to do through years of practice: exiting car=remove keys from ignition.

I am from NZ I don't know what you mean by emergery services our tows trucks aren't clasified like that. Only Police, ambulance, & firetrucks also search & Rescue.. (choppers are given first right in air space

Ron, I see you know how to use chain binders, those folks out California do not know how to use them. I cringe when I see the end of the Binder being hooked to frame of the vehicle and not mid Chain, and I seen this so many times
