Hey Brad! Here's a large bait casting tip from the Clearwater/Dunedin area! When you cast out baits the size of your Wahoo head and larger. Use what we call the Shot Put/Helicopter method! Get started by holding your rod straight out and spin your entire body around 2-3 times while increasing speed until your bait is high enough to clear your head, at which time your body can stop spinning, but now using your arms to gain more speed above your head! The trick is to get your rotation low behind you, and higher as the bait approaches the the water side, so that when you release your line, it is gaining height so that through that, speed and centrifugal force it will launch as far as possible when released. This actually sounds more difficult than it really is (as long as you haven't had too many beers, in which case it can be downright dangerous!) lol But it really works good, even with large conventional reels! Good Luck! 🐟

Loving watching you surf fishing 🎣 I was wondering about putting something on to get that bait out there. I'd seen a video with them using a Drone. Wow, many ways that could work k to your advantage. You did it 😂❤😂 in minutes!

I just ran across your videos and love the content. The knowledge you share is amazing!!! I see the guys holding onto your back loop. Ill be the first to say I know nothing about your type of fishing.... I live in Ohio. with that said, if he feels the need to hold on then he should hold on. His reaction time wont be quick enough or strong enough to hold you. If he does he's already off center with his balance. Again I could be over thinking it but id guess the right shark could rip you off your feet? My man needs a true handle to hang onto your tail feathers with! Be safe and keep the content coming!!!!!

So I was fishing the other day at Ponce Inlet by New Smyrna Beach. I caught a 7+ft Dusky shark. On my Pen Battle 6000 with 50lb braid and I had 85lb mono. I honestly don’t know how I got him in and the only reason I knew he was bigger than 7ft is because I’m 6’3 and he had me beat easily. Took me about 20 minutes or so to get him in to the mono. I was on a boat dock by my myself so I had to cut the line and even if I had another person with me there’s ABSOLUTELY NO WAY we would’ve been able to get him up anyway.

What I am kind of chuckling at, is the random passersby on the beach, staring at the bearded mad man apparently talking to his fishing rod. They just hustle on by..

I caught a jack for the first time last year. Wore my ass out. I have to say that 20-25lbs of ocean fish fights a hell of a lot harder than 20-25lbs of river fish
