My wife and I recently went to Copenhagen for a week. And of course, we did nothing you recommended. Not that we did not plan to follow your advices, to the contrary. But, we got swept away by the city, walked over ten miles a day, and had a wonderfull time. Yes, we probably missed a lot if sites and museums and activities ... but we loved Copenhagen .

You did follow one of my biggest tips though! (or two) - Just getting lost around the city (and walking a lot). This is simply one of the best ways to experience Copenhagen. Glad you enjoyed your trip, and thanks for watching :)

Wonderful video! I've been to Copenhagen twice in the last year, in December 2023 and in June 2024 (to see Metallica). I've also been in Copenhagen quite frequently in the early 2000s thanks to the job I had back then. What can I say? I really like being in Copenhagen. It's a clean, peaceful city with a very balanced vibe. Yes, it's expensive, too. I found the Danes also to be quite... reserved/private. In my experience, it was much easier to socialize with other foreigners who lived in the city than with native Danes (that you do not already know through work). But your mileage will vary. Still, I like Copenhagen a lot for many reasons (which are, in good Danish tradition, mostly private 🙂). Ah, yeah, I'll also pass through Copenhagen again in October, on my way to Malmö - for another concert (Arch Enemy 😁).

Hi Adam, could you share where is good to go during January in Copenhagen? Are most places closed during that time?
@thenordicadam3 ай бұрын
Most places are open in January. Some of the outside places might be closed, like the outdoor street food market, and also Tivoli is closed most of January. But besides that, most things are open - just consider that the weather will likely be cold, so perhaps plan more indoor activities - like the many museums I show in the video. You can still do things outside of course, just break it up with a cafe or museum visit to get warm in between :)
