Question: If the 'universe' is ALL there is, and it's expanding.......what is it expanding into? (you can't inflate a hot air balloon in a phone booth). So what is it expanding into?...and where did what it's expanding into come from? ...maybe the stuff it's expanding into is expanding into something else?? AAARRRRGGGHHH! This is a good question. Philosophically astronomers believe the universe is an intrinsic expansion. Space does not exist outside the universe.
