It's pretty easy to get on with the postal service. I took the test 23 years ago and it's still the same test as it was back then. The problem is fastfood places pay almost as much as the postal service does and you don't have to be out in all sorts of weather. Freezing cold to blazing hot. Getting soaked in the rain. Starting hourly wage is only 17 something an hour. Plus you have to pay for most of your benefits until you become a regular carrier.

They're not. But one thing the carriers that do this don't grasp is, the USPS has a baseline, all the data. They know what that particular carrier's route volume is and very likely the sources of that volume. As soon as one piece of consistent mail to one customer goes missing, that can be an anomaly, but when that starts happening to the whole route, and the local Postmaster gets a bunch of complaints, then the Inspectors start honing in. Sure, some are caught because of their stupidity in getting filmed or seen actively trying not to do their jobs, but by and large they out themselves simply by disrupting the volume and consistent mailings customers on the back-end are expecting.

I hesitate to generalize about 320,000.000 people. But for sure, our IMAGE in a global sense has suffered serious harm. Our Faith, as a nation, has also suffered near utter failure. As a former religious missionary, I spent 18 months of my life studying the scriptures, absorbing and preaching the gospel. I did not grow up religious, but I embraced faith in my twenties. I really loved my studies of the message of Jesus. His messsage, so simple, so focused on loving others, in focusing on others more than self, on caring for one's neighbors... all of those messages, regardless of one's faith, are good messages. I embraced the message of "love one another" very completely. I was fascinated by the message of love. Ultimately I ended my association with that faith because I felt as if the ideals preached by Jesus were forgotten, ignored, side-lined, etc. It has been very difficult to watch a man who has little to no understanding for, and less respect for, the messages within the scriptures ---- and to see self-proclaimed evangelicals and other religious people who are okay with this man as their candidate. His lack of integrity was the irretrievable sin for me, his inability to speak without telling lies --- even stupid lies that are easily fact checked --- told me that he had no love of or adherence to the Scriptures and the messages so prevalent in the New Testament. His admitting that he doesn't ask permission before grabbing women by their genitalia. His locking kids in cages. His lack of empathy during Covid. All of this led me to realize that the people of "faith" who supported DJT were deluded or charlatans. I could go on about character and respect. I won't. I don't delude myself that Biden is some kind of saint. But I believe he values integrity, has compassion, is gentlemanly. His faith is obvious, and his humanity clear. I can only hope that our nation will be able to excise the gangrenous infection of Trump, so that we might focus on healing, unifying, rediscovering that we ARE one nation. Go take the test Nick! It's the same test as I took 23 years ago. Easy to pass! Just remember a few things! You'll start off at 17 something an hour. You're gonna be a cca (city carrier assistant). You're basically a contractor for the postal service. You're gonna have to pay for your own benefits. The time you put in doesn't count towards retirement, that starts after you make regular. You could be in that position for 3 years. You won't work a 40 hour week. More like 60 to 80 hours a week. It may be a week or two before you get a day off. You'll work at least 6 days a week. You'll have to work holidays too. Oh, I forgot about the stress that management will put on you to go faster until you get into an accident or hurt yourself, then they will blame you for it!

That’s if you’re a career employee. When you first start at the post office you’re a non-career employee meaning you don’t get TSP(401k), good Heath insurance, or a predictable schedule. You’re pay $19 an hour and they can make you work 14 days l straight with some offices making new employees work a month straight without a day off even tho we’re guaranteed a day off after 14 days. Lastly upper management tries is hardest to screw carriers over but over burdening their routes and trying it’s hardest to find a reason to deny worker comp if a carrier get injured. There’s a reason USPS has one of the highest turnover rates of new employees.

Trump orchestrated the slowdown of the USPS because he knew Democrats would disproportionately request mail-in ballots because Democrats were warned to not go to polling places due to COVID. He hand picked the Postmaster General to do this and HE decommissioned mail sorting machines and denied overtime to slow down the mail. Also the Postmaster General was the first in decades to not have prior USPS experience. Did you see how all those cities have a large number of mail-in ballots for Biden? #1 because urban centers are Democratic hubs #2 because Democrats were using mail-in ballots in urban, suburban and rural counties. Trump orchestrated this scheme but people took it into their own hands and circumvented the USPS by hand delivering ballots or handing them in to vote in person to vote HIM OUT.
