@@DixiePokerAce That's not true at all, I was a Special Investigator for a Prosecuting Attorney for 12 years, This was a "White Collar Crime" and falls under the White Collar crime laws, you can only sentence someone on so many charges connected to one crime, which this was 1 crime, yes it was 250 individual checks but because it was a "Crime ring" so it's only 1 crime, BUT because this was a "white Collar Crime" he will do 90% of sentence before he can be released, 90% of 40 months is 36 months, which is 3 years so he'll do 3 years before he can be released.

40 months is 3 years and 4 months but because it was a "white collar crime" and over 5k and more than 1 victim stolen he's have to do 90% of that 40 months which is 36 months so he'll do 3 years before he can even be considered to be released and by then he might as well do the last 4 months and walk out clean.

Point taken! His greed screwed himself up! Temptation is the easy part. I've even been tipped off, when someone first starts with a tiny theft and it goes unnoticed, they go bigger next time etc. Meanwhile, investigators take there sweet time watching and learning because they don't want to miss any others. Possibly why he believed his own superiority, because he was left unchecked for so long !🤔
