In the early months he was, and to some extent still is. But you'll see in upcoming videos hes a lot more vocal these days 🤣

But compared to most other parrot species he is very quiet and very laid back.

I rescued a wcp in July. He was a very scared boy. He now eats fromm hand but still gets spooked from any sudden movement or noise. How did you get your girl to He so comfortable in just 2 months?

Lots of patience and trust building. Taking things at her pace and not forcing her to do stuff she didn't want to do. The challenge though was getting her to face her fears without them bring too scary. BirdTricks have a lot of good advice on building confidence in scared birds, I took a lot of that advice when working with Quaffle

How hard was it to train a pionus on harness? Im planning to buy pionus birds myself (already bought a cage so on...) and i feel that could be very hard to manage.

No harder to train than any other parrot. The most important part is patience and not rushing the bird. It may take konths, it may even take a year or more. And it doesn't stop, you need to practice it regularly even after they're trained so they don't become wary of it

Hola. Me encanta el pionus Yo tuve uno. Pero cogio el un hongo de bebe una enfermedad era el Asperjilus Lo lleve al veterinario pero Despues de 5 semanas medicandolo. no sobrevivio😭 Ahora estoy esperando otro Cuanto tiempo tiene el suyo? Me han dicho que pueden hablar el suyo habla?? Espero que me conteste. Gracias ❤️❤️

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pionus are extremely prone to Asperaligiosis so they can't have peanuts or sunflower seeds in their diets where possible.

Hello, Quaffle is almost 3 years old. They have the ability to learn to speak/mimic words, however Quaffle doesn't tend to mimic sounds. I'm sorry for the loss of your beautiful bird. Good luck finding another one x

I’m distracted by the sounds in the background of your video. Sounds like a drama on the TV with a man and woman having a provocative discussion. Not a good choice for background sound. I prefer to hear your Pionus’s cute sounds over the former. Still, I’m enjoying your video. Lovely bird!

Didn't have choice in background as my partner was home and watching a programme. I wasn't going to stop him enjoying his down time just because I want to film a video in the same room.
