Oh I see so many applications for Looom. You could export your loom animations into another animation app and do all the fancy linework and stuff there lickety-split!! It's so quick and easy it seems like a perfect way to work on little pieces of your rough pass for a larger animation. It doesn't have to be perfect because you're just laying out the idea anyway. Callipeg seems pretty nice, reminds me of roughanimator but with more brushes which is priceless. roughanimator is so far the best non-professional program for frame-by-frame animating in terms of functions: it's simple, it has multiple tracks, it lets you do lipsync. the brushes however are disastrous so there s no chance to make an esthetic film on it. i do hope Callipeg will make it to the leading position on the market, it seems very clever..

Thank you for covering these 2 apps! I have watched Callipeg tutorial before by the French developer and first impression is - it is like more advanced Procreate! I haven't bought it yet but seems pretty powerful indeed. I also tried Looom recently and - wow it is something unique ineed! The thing you can draw "live" and you get the generated animated drawings "floating" so easily is amazing! But - it somehow makes my iPad pro (2018) super hot right away, like Procreate did it before (for me) but they fixed it, so this is what's stoping me from using it as I'm not sure if the heat is good for my iPad... I wonder if anyone else is having this issue with Looom.

Thank you :) I don't have any education in animation, I've only played around in drawing frame by frame or tweening in Flash, but when I looked up "audio" syncing in old style traditional animation is... you don't have any audio either... duh you just had cell sheets... but you have a sort of guide/chart/track read (dope sheet???) that indicates what happens during which frame (what action, sound, or mouth movement etc). If anyone knows how to do this the old fashioned way, marking the sound / time maybe you can explain this better than I can.
