Teaching from scripture is becoming more and more rare. I would of liked to have this type of teaching when I was a young believer.

This spoke volumes to me. It was about my husband who I have recently found out has had so many adulterous relationships while being married to me over the last 25yrs. I left him but with great swelling words he's trying to lure me back in. God's word falls on those who need to hear it and apply it to their lives. We have an awesome God. Thank you Pastor for pulling me back out of the destruction of this man's clever tactics.

This was a really great message for me and my husband! We were long time, committed members of a false teaching religion and God showed us the real way and the real Jesus and it was such a JOYOUS time to hear the "good news" gospel. My question is this: How will God judge innocent members who continue to follow a "false prophet", believing they are doing the right thing? Thanks for all you do in teaching straight from the Bible. Your work has greatly helped me get my head and heart straightened out of the depression and guilt this cultish religion put us in.

Hi Carole, Great question, thanks for writing in. Romans chapter 1 tells us that God had revealed himself through creation. Psalm 19 does the same thing. Creation shows that there is a God. Romans 2 talks about our consciences, about we innately know that the laws of God are correct. So far, we have two witnesses: creation and conscience. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would convict (convince) the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. John 16:8-11 says the following about the testimony/witness of the Holy Spirit. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. I refer to those references in order to day this: God has revealed Himself to us in many way, and so everyone has the same opportunity to know the reality of God and to come to him. Our prayer would be that your friends and acquaintances in the false cult would notice, take heed, and respond to the witness that God has left for all of humanity. We pray that they would come to the true and living God, who loves them and offers them a relationship with himself.

Hello Pastor Guzik. I'm a new Christian and I can't get enough of your teaching. I was introduced to the Lord by a large ministry on television. What are your thoughts on ministries that don't preach from scripture like yourself? Also when we give money to them to continue helping poor people and reaching out to prostitutes and addicts to bring them to Jesus, are we really helping their cause. What are your thoughts about these large ministries when they say we're contributing to these causes?

I appreciate that you at least showed both sides of the 2 Peter 2:20 question. I don't believe in eternal security personally; God will certainly do his part but we are also called upon to continue believing.

None of us are righteous. We are covered in Jesus's righteousness. God sees Jesus's righteousness when He sees us. The righteousness imputed toward us when we first believed.

Excellent teaching but towards the very end the preacher distorted what Peter clearly-explicitly said about people who were in fact saved but chose to "waste" their salvation by turning away from the Lord. It is not that we "loose" our salvation. We are confident that God knows our heart for that matter, but remember, the free will is still around when you are saved just like as it was around in the garden of Eden. All a matter of choice, really.

He chose to sidestep the specifics in order to avoid a potentially polarizing conflict. I noticed the same thing, but how David handled it was a thing of beauty. He ran a circle around the conflict and rationalized that both outcomes will have the same net effect: people who look to be doing good, but are not saved. So whether or not a person was actually saved when they chose to leave and do their own thing is of little consequence (in this particular circumstance). They knew the truth, they knew right and they chose wrong.

I think some people after knowing Christ they mess their life but still love God and doesn't deny him and go even go astray. Such type of people I think will not loose their salvation. Those who had accepted Him & later deny Him after making mess in their life will certainly loose their salvation. Denying Christ might be the crucial factor for salvation.
@arthurdevrome89253 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't advise to try if one can loose salvation. When you find out it might be too late and your loss is eternal.

James 1:22-26 NKJV 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

I believe that the Christian cannot loose there salvation, however I do believe that a Christian can deny their own salvation. This is why people are blotted out of the Lambs book of life

Apply 2 peter 2 to someone like benny Hinn and the concept of OSAS which I believe. Did Hinn believe but depart from the faith due to love of money and is still saved? Or did he never believe to begin with?

1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us; they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that might be made manifest that they were not all of us. I'd say never saved.
