The scriptures are interpreted correctly when the Holy Spirit blesses us with spiritual understanding. When we try to study the bible through our own knowledge, this is when we misunderstand what is written. There is man understanding and Spiritual understanding, before reading or listening to the teaching of the scriptures, we should pray for spiritual understanding. I just finished listening to your series first and second Peter . It was totally awesome ! I'm learning so much from your teaching especially from God's word itself . Your teaching opens God's word to me in a way of never known before . I thank God almighty for his love and grace and for bringing you into my life and my husband's life. Good sermon. I am studying this chapter in Greek for a Bible study and wanted to see your observations and teaching and you did a good job with the fine distinctions passage. Examples: The importance of reminding people not just going over something once. Never saying “we’ve heard this before.” The Authority of the prophets and apostles are on the same level.

The six "days" of creation are God's days, they are not our days. There is no time in the spirit. it's a metaphor, for six aeons, and the stages described are identical to what science says. In the beginning was the "word" but the Hebrew says "sound". Physicists now say all matter is made of energy. That energy is sound. The whole universe is made up of one thing, sound energy. Well pretty good for someone writing nearly four thousand years ago, yes? The universe is moving away from one central point and all the matter in the universe was contained in one tiny point. It had a beginning point. It could not make itself.
