You're 100% right. It's not just even this game, he's been doing it every time we play Liverpool. He literally just gives up as soon as Konate gets close, and then when Konate gets the ball, he literally doesn't fight for it, it's so annoying.
@gwillz85512 сағат бұрын

Will go under the radar because it’s Kai Havertz but yesterday’s performance from him was dreadful, nothing stuck up top lost the ball on many occasions. The problem Martinelli is having with Konate, since last season, is that Martinelli runs vertically straight while Konate being very smart will not stay close but wide and run diagonally across Martinelli. So bu the time Martinelli gets to the edge of the eighteen box and wants to cut inside, Konate is already there because Konate was not running straight all the way but he's been drifting diagonally all the time to cut the space into the box. Solution, Martinelli should take the ball closer to Konate first, don't start running until he drags konate closer, when he's closer, start the run slightly vertically and stary drifting diagonally across Konate. One of two things that can happen is either Konate lets him go or bring him down which will result in a card and from there you get him as he'll be very cautious throughout the match and the coach might decide to pull him out and bring a less experienced player in.

I come to the podcast post match for a proper match analysis, especially of a match that had so much to talk about in terms of events. A. J(ordan) Van Dijk side footed twice by asking - "Is Arteta not relying on youngsters?" leading to a debate on transfer window and "Are we winning the league" - DESERVER a RED just like VvD did. B. Anthony T(urkish) blew the whistle loud when not needed - On and on and on about the transfer window and Havertz chat. But unlike a certain Taylor, he blew his mind on the Martinelli penalty and Jesus winner. And stops starts the pod when talking about the game - there were so many positives and negatives from the game. Rice at 6 but he excelled when Partey inverted into the middle. Gabriel injury changed the game and we still managed until Timber went! C. James B Slot added excuse after excuse as the game got discussed in bits and parts JUSTIFIABLY unlike a certain Scouser Slot who complained about our Dark Arts - why? D. Lee (Kai) Judges made space and connected with each of his team mates and showed the energy of the fan! Find love even in a frustrating first 45 mins of the pod, unlike the Arsenal who played so well in the first half! Love for the love from MICHIGAN

Arteta apparent mistrust in Kiwior is eroding the player's confidence, hindering his on-field effectiveness. Unlike other managers, Arteta hesitates to start Kiwior as a center back, instead relegating him to the bench. This decision affects team dynamics, particularly defensive mindset, as evidenced by the drop in performance after Magalhaes' injury and Kiwior's substitution. Kiwior's impressive left-back display last season, amidst injuries, should have boosted his confidence. However, Arteta's cautious approach, characterized by slow starts and mid-season surges, may be influenced by the squad's thinness, especially in critical positions like Saka, Odegaard, Saliba, and now Havertz. Arteta's trust issues with Kiwior and conservative tactics might be undermining Arsenal's potential.
