Yeah Harrison has been consistently great in the 2000s. 7 straight 1000 yard seasons, 4 straight 100 catch seasons and one of them was a record breaking 143 receptions while averaging at least 10 touchdowns for 6 straight years. Randy Moss had only 2 100plus receptions and is a relatively inconsistent player into he 2000s. All Moss is is a deep threat gets jump balls. Harrison is a better route runner, has better hands and isn't afraid to go over the middle

Jerry Rice was the best NFL receiver of all time -- but only because Randy Moss conceded to this; had he had the same drive and work ethic as Jerry Rice, he'da undoubtedly been better. But look at the numbers -- no one's seeing Jerry Rice (1,549 receptions [+224], 22,895 receiving yards [+6,961], and 208 touchdowns [+51]).

@@damiansconberg4715 lol no they aren't. Moss was in offenses where they threw the ball 500+ times. Montana wasn't that type of qb and neither was Young. Montana Attempted more than 450 passes 4x in his career with rge 49ers. Rice was largely a shell of his former self after 96. He did the majority of his damage from 85-96. Rice had three 1k seasons from 96-04 when he retired.

Randy Moss was constantly double teamed throughout most of his career, other than a short stint with Brady, he had inconsistent quarterback play and yet he still put up monster numbers. Did he quit on plays? Yes. Did he have character issues? Yes. But that does not take away from how dynamic Moss really was and anyone who really knows football understands that when Moss wasn't even getting the ball he was making an impact because teams had to account for him at all times.

Okay, so let me get this straight once and for all. Rice played almost 20 years in the NFL (maybe it even was 20+). The majority of which with HOF QBs, decent to good defenses and he ranks first all time on the stat sheet. Moss is the leading scorer at his position, both for a rookie and a regular player (17tds as a rook, 23 as a pro). He was the one who made cover 2 a necessity, his best qbs were Cunningham, Culpepper and Brady (total time about 8-9 seasons tops). He is the second all time in tds scored. Sorry, but I dont freaking get it, if I wanted a receiver for a career, sure, I'd go with Rice, but if I wanted one for only one season, 1 50yd td with little time on the clock, or one for general talent I would take #84 dawn, day, and night. (on 3rd and 5-8 I would take CC80 though).

Moss didn't have nearly as many playoff appearances as Rice, and the Vikings teams he was on were the definition of chokers. It's a team game after all. As for his time with the Pats, I don't really know how he performed in the playoffs. They did get to one Superbowl though. I can't imagine he choked in all the playoff games they won to get there.

I don't care what anyone else says, I trust my own two eyes. Been watching football since late 80 s and nobody, i said nobody can match him . Moss is the best receiver that ever played the game. Ahead of Jerry Rice and all the rest .

His best time with the Vikings were in the 90's and he also had that pretty bad stint in Oakland. And then he just had a few good seasons in New England.

im 100% positive if randy moss had peyton manning throwing to him his entire career, he would have shattered virtually every receiving record ever. if marvin harrison had to spend half his career dealing with qbs like jeff george, kerry collins, and jamarcus russell, he would be remembered as a slightly above average receiver at best. not hating on harrison by any means. im just stating a fact.

+Super Kaioshin I am a Patriots and Randy Moss fan, but Jerry Rice is the greatest. He had several thousand more receiving yards than Emmitt Smith had all-purpose yards, and had a 1,000-yard season in three different decades. The difference between he and #2-4 is ridiculous.

as a die hard colts fan my entire life. Randy Moss is the greatest WR of all time. Stats will tell you Jerry Rice. The film will tell you Randy Moss. No one has ever possessed his combination of speed, size, athleticism and ability to catch everything. Give him Joe Montana and Steve Young and you have numbers beyond Jerry's.

Moss is #1, Owens is #2, Harrison might be #5. Moss's quarterbacks in the 2000s were Culpepper, Collins, Tuiuosopo, Dilfer, Brady, Cassel. Owens had Garcia, McNabb, Bledsoe, Romo, Edwards. Harrison had P Manning. Moss would have put up better numbers than Jerry "Stickum" Rice if he played with Brady or Manning his whole career. And like him or not, TO is a Hall of Famer and he only played with McNabb for a season, Romo for 2 seasons and Bledsoe, but Bledsoe was on the decline in Dallas

Ouch, burn. Doesn't change the fact that Buck totally overreacted, and the Packers did as well. Maybe if their fans acted with class instead of swearing and throwing garbage at opposing teams' fans, I'd give them a pass, but as it is, nope.

Marvin Harrison was real good but he was in the perfect situation which inflated his numbers and his QB was so consistent he never had a down year in his prime. Moss is probably #2 all time. In the 2000s Id take Steve Smith, Andre Johnson & Moss over Harrison. If Smith or Johnson had Manning most of their careers they would've had even more yards. Andre Johnson had 1,500 yards 3 times and could've done it 2 other times if not for injuries. And had bums as QBs and usually no good #2 WR. Harrison usually didnt play great in the playoffs.
