Magnificent elevators, I didn't know that Fiam had "worked" for Gebauer but these installations are in impeccable working condition

They indeed are! it seems that Fiam sold their controllers to generic companies in the 80s but i don't know how it is today. It was pretty much a coincidence that I discovered this as it was not easy to find anything on these boards. There is one old video on YT that shows the motor room of such lifts.

Very nice! The technology reminds me a lot of some TMS 50e we still have going strong here in my country.
@TheLiftDragon4 ай бұрын
Thx! We also have the TMS50e on smaller lifts by Kone, though they're getting replaced more and more. This Fiam controller here is a bit older technology wise than the TMS 50e though.
@mattmoreira2104 ай бұрын
@@TheLiftDragon they're getting replaced?! What a shame... BTW, here the TMS50e controllers were so ubiquitous that you could find them in any configuration from a simple two-story hydro to a 20-story traction. Crazy stuff. It's comparable to installing a Schindler 3000 on a 40-story building nowadays.

@@mattmoreira210 Not these lifts in particular, but Kone is phasing out all TMS controllers in general as spare parts are getting more and more rare. TMS50e for 20 floors? That is a really far stretch as the TMS50e was Kone's budget controller. It could handle 8 floors in default configuration but I've seen them with extension modules for up to 16 floors. A TMS600 would be the much better choice for a 20 floor job.

I thought that Ziehl-Abegg only produced vent fan motors

ZA has been producing lift motors for over 50 years and they still do today, they have a big portfolio even including disc-motors and belt-drive motors. They also manufacture VFDs.

Die Bremse sieht aus wie ein Umbau Kit von Fuka von 1Kreis auf 2 Kreis Bremse
@TheLiftDragon10 ай бұрын

ABB contactors Re very nice. See they must be in a mall to get that vandalised.
@TheLiftDragon Жыл бұрын
The old ABB contactors are really nice. I don't like the newer ones that much tho. These lifts are in an overground public car park.

@@TheLiftDragon Yes, I had a machine that used the old Brown Boveri ones, and I was lucky to buy some old ones on auction, that came from a big pump control panel, which gave me the needed spare parts, like contacts and cores, which are the wear parts on them. Coils not so common, and luckily only the 220VAC coils would fail, so had plenty of them, but after 10 million cycles the cores would spread out from impact, and start to jam in the housings, so not replacing the entire with a new one was a good thing, as that saved needing to remove the pneumatic system to get to the back of the electrical panel, as that was where the wiring was knitted in, coming out neatly through a set of rubber gaskets as needed, and I really wanted to get rid of the front wire mess that was there. Would have to see if I still have photos of that machine, made in Germany by Uhlmann, and dating from 1970. still got the blueprint of the one wiring diagram, as we bought 2 machines, one for spares.

That looks an awefull lot like Schindler equipment from that era..
@TheLiftDragon Жыл бұрын
The contectors are the same as Schindler, supplied by BBC. Later on in the 90s, Gebauer also installed complete Schindler Miconic B lifts, just rebranded.
