His teaching inspires me to pay deeper attention. I have read the Scriptures through n through - even the parts some consider a little boring or repetitive. I admire the teachers willingness to stick to the script, his comedic prowess n desire to delve into stories that sadly, many deem unimportant. All Scripture is inspired n breathed by God.

This is honestly exactly what I was dealing with today. I sometimes blurt out obscene things when frustrated and God made it well aware that I willingly chose to say those things. I can no longer blame other people for the way I act nor for what I chose to say. God has given me understanding for why those things are wrong and the ability not to do them. And each time I do, it’s out of my own will. I did it because I wanted to. It’s a heart condition that needs to be changed through stopping certain habitual practices and prayer. Just wanted to share. Thank you, pastor.

I'm nearing the end of this intriguing story. One possible lesson to be derived from Absalom's hair is: Get regular haircuts, you never know when you might get tangled up LOL 😆 But in all seriousness, it saddens to think that King David's prodigy, the child he held in his arms as a babe would grow up n turn on his father.💔❣️By the way I'm with you. The best strategy in a battle would b2 climb a tree n get the job done while concealed. (sigh) I'm so glad Abba Father made me a woman. 🙏 I know in some cultures women go out to battle but from Scripture I learn it is the man's duty to defend n protect❤️ 🙏

Omg! YES!!! “We all have a little Absalom in us”…. THERE IS ALWAYS MORE TO THE STORY THAT NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT!!!!! They didn’t see, hear about nor were they there experiencing it for themselves but boooy they’re quick to judge, point fingers and give advice.

4:50 so true. I sometimes dream of winning the lottery and then I ponder if I had all that money, how it would change me for who I am. as money is the root of all evil. Imagine if you were a king, with all that power, what it would do to change you. dont get me wrong, I would still like to find out what happens with the lottery. who knows, i might donate half of it to Calvary Chapel Ontario. But what would Paster Paul do with all that money ? :) fast forward to 47:10 I see what Paster Paul would do. build a monument for himself :D

This servant/ brother is an unbelievable story teller. The animation n artistic maneuvers n insights he brings out makes it come alive🎆 🎇 I know of two others who are talented in narrating a story. Mike Rowe n Glenn Beck. The best part is these stories took place n we can glean lessons from them. Scripture contain words of life n it exposes the motivations of the heart. It includes the Good the Bad and the Ugly. 👂👀

'We're all a choice away from misbehaving.' Yep! There but by the grace of God go I. When Will Smith slapped the comedian across the face at the Emmys, most of his fans wanted his head on a platter. Yes, he did wrong! He was insolent. But there again the backlash was tremendous. Most went for the jugular except for Denzel Washington. Thank you for pointing out that there's a bit of 'Absalom' in all of us.

I can't help but wonder what Absalom's last thoughts were. Did her revert to being David's son, and long for his father (or mother) for comfort, or was he so lost to pride that he was still angry and bitter, even as the life drained out of him...

42:40 The word means head, not hair. Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers (9) His head caught hold of the oak.--Absalom in his flight found himself among his enemies, and sought to escape into the denser parts of the forest. As he did so his head caught between the branches of a tree, his mule went from under him, and he hung there helpless. There is nothing said to support the common idea (which seems to have originated with Josephus), that he hung by his long hair, though this may doubtless have helped to entangle his head.

Whether Absalom's noggin' or long mane got caught in the oak, he perished, no? I really don't see the distinction...

Who is that pastor? I rather enjoy how he delights in the story told by the Word ànd whattabout Faulkner's Absalom, Absalom? What is that about? Wish I knew. Faulkner has such strange people in his books, people in the South I never knew before!?!
