The attack came during a Jewish Holiday so the IDF probably was on a skeleton staff footing. That was soo foolish knowing the Arabs always attacked on Jewish Holidays.The IDF didn’t want to rush in because they were scared the hostages would be killed. Netanyahu will pay the price for this blunder. Israel probably had to check with Egypt and Jordan before acting so they wouldn’t be facing a three front conflict.
