Good day Erik, that was a beautiful shot! What ISO, Shutter speed and Fstop did you use.?

Hi, Erik! Thanks a lot for these great lessons ... I just bought 2 of the XL Pros and one of the Large Flashbender and am using 3 Nikon SB-900's. Have light stands, etc. I have TTL-capable Pocketwizards but to create the lighting moods you've mentioned, it appears that manual modes on each flash would be more appropriate, is this a correct assumption on my part? Also, I don't have the horizontal bar (with the counterweight) to hold the main light (flash with XL) - can you please tell us what parts we need to have this accessory? Thanks in advance.

Hi +Dean Guzman, Erik occasionally uses TTL and prefers Manual Power flash, however he has been known to mix the two. Depending on how familiar you are with TTL quirks and behaviors, you may find Manual Power flash to be easier. You can purchase a speedlight miniboom for about $25-$40 online, here's an example: www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=397671&gclid=Cj0KEQjwiKS3BRCU-7XQ75Te3NoBEiQAA2t_xP_GJm9WNjXncHKZoPl2rJoeVWxTE9mAgwxT_NLWR8MaAq-78P8HAQ&is=REG&ap=y&m=Y&c3api=1876%2C92051677562%2C&Q=&A=details If you have any other questions you can always email us at support(at)expoimaging(dot)com. Hi erik, I have 2 speedlites with a white background. Can I use the same setup but with a white shoot throw umbrella and a soft box, or do I specifically need these covers you have. Many thanks

Hi +23wiski Great question! Erik is demonstrating these tools to show what you can do with portable modifiers rather than standard studio modifiers. Modifiers, just like other photographic equipment, are simply tools and can be used in various ways to get the job done. Yes, it's totally possible to achieve this same shot with different modifiers, but we can't guarantee identical results. Let us know if you have any other questions at support(at)expoimaging(dot)com.

Where did you get the medal tripod stand to hold the flash?
@ExpoImagingInc8 жыл бұрын
Hi +Alejandro Valentin good question! Erik is using what's called a c-stand or "century stand" which can be purchased most local photo retailers or online retailers. If you have any other questions feel free to shoot us an email at support(at)expoimaging(dot)com. Regards, -The ExpoImaging Team

Hi Cary, Erik primarily uses the Phottix Mitros+ flashes in this video, but in terms of FlashBender 2s he is using an Rogue FlashBender XL Pro 2 and a Rogue FlashBender 2 Large Reflector. Let us know if you have any other questions. Regards, -The ExpoImaging Team
