It's probably too loose. Timing belt looks like that when it's skipping on the pulleys. Try to use something like a mercedes vbelt tensioner. It's got a spring to keep it tight and oil piston. That keeps the belt where it should be.

... so last time must have been the rebuild wonder how long it was running without the dry stump... hope she all good I hate dry stump for that reason same as timing belt goes 90% are interference and are junk, chains a little better direct gear(manual) would be great... electric pump with a pressure switch would be my cheap best way.

The baffle is fine, but the tiny brackets welded to a 200lbs fuel cell look like a metal fatigue failure point. Strap it. That's how OEM tanks are held in place.

ROB, when you're designing stuff and you see something that looks weak it's not always a bad thing. Designing in a weak spot allows you to protect the expensive stuff and have the cheap weak stuff be the mechanical fuse in the system. So stuff like necked down bolts or lower grade screws can be super helpful!

I work at Precision Import Repair in Colorado although our name SHOULD mention the fact that we specialize in all things high performance for all street and race cars, what we really specialize in is all things rotary. ANYWAYS each and every time we have have had a request to put a 2 step in whatever set up rotary engine.....they ended up blowing the engine up

Nothing can stress you out more than a problem with a rotary car. Yet nothing can out a bigger smile on your face than a rotary that is running right. It's a love hate relationship. Luckily for me it's been all smiles for the last 4 years. Reliability is the answer for that rotary smile. Have problems with depression buy a well built rotary and you cant do anything but be happy. Hell it beats spending money on mental health specialist
